When (usually) white belts keep grips in bad places I hit the arm lock/arm bar/sweep and then after the roll I mention that keeping a death grip will compromise you at times.
Your vids on the importance of being concious of breathing right have helped me immeasurably 1 month into BJJ, mostly getting smashed but with a few small wins along the way. I'm really able to relax in a bad spot (e.g. when I'm on the wrong end of back control), defend, wait for the other guy to gas out a bit (like when you said before, listen to the way your opponent is breathing) and waiting for an optimal moment to attempt an escape. Thanks very much coach. Love your vids.
Old guy here, first read the book “ Breath “ by James Nestor, it’ll blow your mind, second if you want good grip strength, work blue collar for 30 years.
Hi chewy, I have a question regarding blood born deceases and BJJ. Yesterday i was rolling with one guy who had his finger bleeding and he new about it when I noticed that I stopped and told him to go ask instructor for a bandage. He did and instructor gave him a bandage but hasn't check the mats for blood. but after rolling with him I've noticed that there was small amount of blood on the mat. So my question is how dangerous it is to get a blood born deceases while rolling and in general practicing BJJ?
You at the origins camp ? The Jaco fuel one my professor Vincent junior is up there I think it’s maine figures funny timing for you to also be in Maine
