In Kingsman the actors wear Windsor tie knots. No English gentleman would wear such a flamboyant knot except perhaps the Duke of Windsor. Also the ties are too narrow in comparison to the width of the suit lapels. So often movie costume designers know little about the style they are trying to represent.
No English gentleman would publicly assume or pronounce how a man should or should not wear his tie. A Windsor knot is wide, but not "flamboyant" and Turnbull & Asser have been making the Regent collar to accommodate them since dinosaurs roamed the earth. You do make a fair point about costume designers. But people in LA know about as much about clothes as the English know about crossfit, Pelatons and cosmetic dentistry.
It's great. I'll show you some cutting drawings if you want
That Asian man in glasses is so handsome I'd love to meet him!
