Wouldn't it be fun if WLS snuck these into their broadcasts today... randomly... just for giggles and grins... because they're a 96 year old station broadcasting on AM and still hanging on! Anyhow, I think so.
@@radiogroupie2397 yeah. And as far as i know, you don't hear that sound anymore unless you listen to recordings like this, or if you can find stations that still use it. And i don't think any station uses pams jingles anymore.
Radio London here in the UK (well, off the Essex coast..) back in the 60's used the PAMS sonovox jingles and I loved that sound. A lot of people confuse it with the electronic 'vocoder' device, but it's a different technology.
We love these beautiful. That's why we're so insane! By the way, if you use the Speech-To-Text feature of TH-cam and you speak "sonovox" to the Google TTS engine, it returns, "song of ox".

That is really cool. I never new what made that sound until recently.
SONOVOX was a very cool and creative sound.

Yeah completely different. And sonovox has been around a long time.
@@radiogroupie2397 No offense, but this series actually came out in 1961.

Thx for your comment. Yeah I think all of us jingle fanatics are a little insane. 😁 And sonovox jingles are awesome.
@@radiogroupie2397 sorry, I meant STT, "Speech To Text".
