You could go to Costco and get an entire eye of round roast for let's say $25, cut it up as thin as possible and then toss it in the oven on it's lowest setting or dehydrator with salt or your preferred seasoning until it is dry and you would get I'd say at least 8 bags of that jerky snack minimum and it would cost one of those bags of snack

You can get it in bulk from asian grocery stores. They make it mostly in pork but also do beef and chicken. It's called Meat floss. Great just to have around chuck a pinch on some rice for a quick meal.
The reason alot of them have plenty of fat is because on a carnivore diet you are using fat instead of sugar so higher amount of fat is actually a good thing.

I buy something that looks almost identical...seems to have the same crunch and texture...comes in those flavours and also duck. They are in the $4-$6 range and my dog loves them. They look just the same I've never tasted them but my dog says they're great.
Here in South Africa most of us know that as "biltong blare". we just spice it a bit more. The slider ones we call "Biltong wiele" and is also spiced/flavoured.
With prices like those, and a subscription like that... they can eat their own snack. I'll just go to Costco, get some stuff (NY Strip, brisket, lamb) and make my own. And on the skirt steak... I can't believe they screwed up beef jerky, because that's the cut that's preferred for it.

Skirt steak is the most underrated and probably the best cut of meat. It's not cheap anymore though. Fatty meat is delicious. I order my jerky fatty. Jerky shouldn't be theat crunchy.

The jerky shouldn't be around long enough for that to happen. I've made my own jerky, some with fat still on, and even I can store it for 2 or more weeks without it going bad, and I'm not putting it it in a fancy bag that is made to make it last longer on the shelve.
As an avid home Jerky maker, these are all bad. That much extra fat is unacceptable, especially on the eye round. (Actually my fav Jerky cut) And they all seem (according to the crunch level) freeze dried, as that's a faster and cheaper process than air drying. Just get Obertos, or Old Trapper, or Jack links for less than 1/3 the price if you want to go commercial. And get you fat from bacon grease you should have saved with your eggs. Oats overnight has the same dumb subscription service. My husband was looking for something filling that could help him get through a day without being hungry all the time and we thought those would fit the bill, but all the cool flavors were paywalled behind their subscription service.
I will have been eating carnivore for 8 years in January and a carnivore coach for 3 years last August. Fat is a large part of eating that way. What's a bit counter to this marketing is that, typically, people doing carnivore tend to avoid snacking.
Makes sense. In the bag is fine. Fat = flavor (especially if you're camping or lost, the fat is important, but I wouldn't be happy that the fat is included in the overall oz, but think of crispy bacon. If you get normal pork bacon, the fat is what crisps up real well & becomes soft when you eat it compared to the meat. Rib-eye is a well marbled meat, there's a balance of fat to meat ratio. Same with the sliders, ground beef is combined with the fat content. While I can appreciate the minimization of ingredients to other chemicals/preservatives etc... why not (for the price) at least season the lamb with rosemary and garlic, the way you would cook it? Or use a marinade for the skirt steak before drying it or add black pepper. Most steaks are simply seasoned with just salt and pepper. Solid idea, protein, salt freeze dried to make it light and not a burden for long hikes, but if you're going to charge (even $20 dollars) the execution needs a lot of work, let alone double that.
