Kenmore Dryer - Loud, Squeaky Drum Wheel Fix

  • A fix for drum wheels and/or idler pulley without having to purchase replacement parts. The drum wheels were causing belts to break on this dryer (Kenmore 90 Series). It was excessively loud as well. I am happy to report that it has been extremely quiet after this fix.

    Thank you so much for this video. I just needed to clean and lubricate my idler pully. Good as new.

    Nice instructions. Thanks for posting this. I used some PTFE based dry lube that I had in the garage because I was concerned that grease might attract dust and gum up the rollers again. It was a spray that had a solvent carrier that was useful for cleaning off the shafts and the inside of the rollers. So far so good.

      Oh, I sprayed it on a cloth and used that to wipe down everything.

      I wasn't really prepared for a before and after. But next time I will record the sound with a condenser mic.

      Geez, this was so long ago that I can't remember. I think I saw an appliance repair video on here somewhere that showed how to remove it.

    Why not use Anti-Seize instead of grease, much better.
