Been waiting on this tier list, there aren’t really any other tier lists that are too recent so it’s good to get this and should help out new players that are trying to decide what to play if they are concerned about strength. I will also say that you definitely “yapped” a fair bit but it’s good to actually get a decent understanding of why you think they deserve the rank you give them as opposed to just slapping them on the list and moving on :)
I’ll also add that I pretty much agree with the tier list I could honestly see rogue and bard being better than B tier but considering how less straightforward they are to play in PVP I don’t really disagree with B tier either!
i saw skinnys build in solos. but what is the best for duo build despite the composition (the partner to barb). is it rage/savage roar? classic build even after the nerf?
Savage Roar is probably a must in Duos. Youd then want to partner that with either Rage or Achilles strike most likely. Which you choose might come down to what your comp struggles with or what you need to bring to the table. For example if you have a bard partner thats giving you a bunch of movespeed then you probably dont need rage :)
Was playing fully kitted slayer fighter this morning hitting 101 and had 140 hp and got killed in 2 hits by a half kitted bard 😭 bard seems to be extremely overpowered with just a couple pieces of gear if they have full buffs. I will note I missed my first hit or else he would have died as he had 20% hp from my second hit just didn’t expect that from a bard running maybe 800 gold gear and me running 7k 💀🤣
I think this is a symptom of Time to Kill just being too low across the board, while I do think missing a hit should be punishing it sounds like even despite the gear you had on both of you were just a 2 shot kill for the other which while I dont disagree bard when fully buffed and especially if they hit you with a shriek of weakness can be very strong, I think if the TTK was a bit more in check it probably wouldnt feel as bad.
@@Brotection_ nope I meant bard, he was using a rapier. I do have a clip being one hit by a warhammer barb who had no relevant to his class rolls on his gear and still one hit me when I had 150hp lol.. pretty sure that one instance was a hacker though.
Hey oregano! After the recent hotfixes I havent been able to test druid myself so take this somewhat lightly but I know before the hotfixes they were probably S tier or like A+, now they are probably solidly in the A tier for solos if I had to take an educated guess. :)
Nice tier list. In regards to why IM does things to seemingly shoot itself in the foot I chalk up to poor leadership. Let's hope they get their stuff together because this insanely fun unique game is losing more and more players at the end of each wipe. It's scary quiet in the dungeon this wipe
the clock is ticking. game is dying and with the rumors about the steam launch in June... They only have one shot at this. If it releases on steam in this state it will be popular for a week or two before definitively dying
Yeah, bit of a side note but Im not sure why they pretty much exclusively nerf things and dont buff things. Also, yeah there were less than 5k players on yesterday at prime time on a Saturday, that is extremely alarming. I think there decision to not patch this week was ludicrous, even if all they did was fix the lighting bug that was introduced last patch that wouldve been a lot better than nothing considering the sentiment of the playerbase currently.
I've loved your videos lately! I think you have a great understanding of the game as well. I hope to see more content from you in the future! Do you have any insights in how to change barbarian without making him feel terrible to play? I've been playing him for the last couple days and it feels truly powerful. I only play low gear score lobbies with decent kits and it feels like you win almost every melee fight easily minus the pdr fighter. And you only need to find the right opportunity to get one hit with Achilles strike to win most of the range matchups. But when I think of nerfing him most things that come up feel like it would make the class D tier. If he doesn't have lots of health he can't approach a melee fight with enough hp to win. And without the mdr he would get melted by most casters. I think nerfing his skills would be a great start. I recently tried out victory strike on fighter and was astonished to find out that after about 15 seconds after activating it the skill goes on cooldown. Yet Achilles strike, which is a better skill, can be activated indefinitely. I think changing that and the ratio of savage roar would be a great start but would love to hear your opinion! I typed this up at 3 in the morning on my phone sorry if it's hard to read!
All good brother, I think this was a really well thought out and worded comment and I appreciate it! I definitely agree with taking a look at the barbarian skills would be a good place to start. However, I think I would actually have an entirely different approach, I havent given this a ton of thought so its going to be a bit of a surface level take butttt I dont actually know if Barb needs to be nerfed as much as I think other classes need to be buffed and I would say the same thing for Warlock. It honestly feels to me like Ironmace has a huge love for strictly nerfing things, I mean I can barely remember the last time something got buffed even though Im sure there have been minor things here and there it seems extremely far and in between that they actually buff something. To me, it feels like when you are playing barb and especially warlock in my case, the game feels really good in a lot of different ways. Both of them have multiple different viable builds for different situations, both of them can be a high damage dealing speed demon in solos and they can both be a giga tank frontliner in trios if they want (Warlock with Demon form build). Without going into infinite detail though it does just feel to me that both Warlock and Barbarian and the way they feel in the game should be somewhat of a baseline standard for all of the classes. To be blunt, fighter has been in the game since the beginning and is obviously a quintessential class for all RPG games as being a sort of jack of all trades and good class for beginners to get their feet wet but it literally has 1 really good skill which is sprint, then it has 1 pretty good skill which is second wind and then what else does it have? As a non fighter player I cant even remember all of their different skills because they all suck and no one takes them, why in gods name have some of those other skills never been buffed? Its been over a year that the class has been in the game and they should obviously have some data sitting around that shows 99.9% of fighter players are taking the exact same 2 skills in every single game. With all that being said though, I also think they need to reduce the time to kill in PVP by a little bit, not exactly sure how much but while I do think other classes besides warlock and Barbarian should be buffed I dont think Id enjoy everybody running around and 1-2 shotting each other in every fight. Currently too much of PVP relies on which person gets the jump on the other and lands the first hit and this leads to everyone creeping around, avoiding PVE and looting just to find the perfect opportunity to ambush someone which is not particularly fun at times.
Mmm idk, try fighting a 330 ms + Full true phys survival bow ranger in half of the rooms in ice caves and your opinion might change, forget engaging them in a stupid way, you literally cant engage them 😂. I think Ranger is super gear reliant though and its very rare to actually run into a properly geared ranger so a lot of peoples perspectives are skewed but I tried to rank the classes based on their potential as opposed to what youll typically run into because I agree most rangers that are running a like 290 ms kit are just walking loot pinatas. At the end of the day though I am a warlock main and Ranger is a terrible matchup for warlock so it could partially be my bias peeking through.
Only problem with this take is that the leaderboard is just a leaderboard for the best trinket acquirerers, not really pvp focused. I do agree with you though that Rogue and bard are really good at farming AP :)
@@mAttacker89 Not at all, to be specific I am saying that his rank on the leaderboard has nothing to do with him PVPing and Im sure he would reiterate that same point to you if you asked. Its simply a function of how the AP system is designed and that it has nothing to do with PVP. Additionally, ill just add that your average rogue player is like 5000 hours of strictly playing rogue away from being half as good as repoze is at rogue so its not even close. Even he admits constantly that rogue after multiclassing is underwhelming at best and has a number of problems such as being a melee class at heart yet gets one to two shot by pretty much every other melee class in the game even when wearing some pretty top notch gear.
