I waited a few months last year to get one in black, absolutely awesome guitar, brilliant neck for the money....i now have a 22yr old Squire with Fender custom shop fat 50s pick-ups in it that just sits in the corner (maybe a PU swap ;0) ).I did have a few tuning probs after using the whammy bar so ive blocked the trem for now, will be getting a few upgrades for it soon....and it'll still be a cheap guitar, really great for the money.

You know what, this has given me a great idea for a short VS video of these two, so thanks for that!
Compared its easier to choose a Jet because there are so few variations, but if there is a particular neck type or sound you are after then the wider styles available from classic vibes are worth trying too. TRY before you buy if you can though. Hope this helps - Sam

Hi. Great review. I really want one of these Jet JS guitars what's your opinion on the JS 300 against the JS 400 which would you pick? I love the sea green or sea foam green. And sam owns a JS-300, I (Ollie) own the 400. They feel really similar, the necks are identical. The 400 has a little bit more of a recess on the back, and the humbucker adds a little bit of bite! I do however, want to get a js300 and install some fishmans. :)

@@HickiesMusicStore definitely, hard to believe it's that good but it is. I owned many guitars, the neck of this guitar makes many fender necks seem cheap (expecially the player series ones). The tuners, of my guitar at least, don't seem premium (strings stay always in tune, by the way), for sure pick ups won't be the top, but for me it's better than many high end Squiers.

    Little advice...
Muchy shredded licks are pointless, and, quite embarrassing!!!
Just play simple things, articulated melodies, and show what you can play, instead of what you're just not able to....
