Bro with this only beeping will stop but their function also stop and code will come up on screen and it’s not gonna stop in emergency condition any other way just avoid volume control ?
I was just looking at a Volvo Trucks webpage, and it indicates that there is a way to shut it off with a switch on the dash. Maybe they finally listened to us and came to the realization that this was doing far more harm then good. This would probably be for later models. I just talked to a company that has Volvo 860s, and I asked him if the trucks had "the noise", and described it as the distance warning alarm, and then I explained the exact function, and he said "Yeah we have them, but the driver has the ability to shut it off". Can someone here maybe confirm this?
Having that shut off switch depends on what the truck was specked with at purchase. My truck unfortunately does not have that switch. " Believe me I asked". 😊
Not arguing....but which dealer will do that? Most dealers I've heard of absolutely refuse to do anything like that. They think it opens them up to some liability.
I made a video on this issue as well by pulling fuse 73. the reason I cant use the tape is because i slip seat and the next driver would cry about the dash warnings and bring it to the echanic and they would find tape on the sensor and it would be a big issue. and i dont want to keep putting it on and off everyday. so i pull the fuse in 5 seconds. then pop it back in when im done for the day
Thank you driver. That safety feature makes it easier for 4wheelers to cut you off... which then the VADA slows you even more. If you don't watch out, you'll look down and see your only going 80% of speed limit.
Guys if you take out the fuse do you get a check light on ? I just got a brand new 2024 vnr last week I'm already sick it what should I do fuse or tape ?
you can lower at 0 all those sensors volume on the steering wheel at the right , ho to home on system settings then system volume levels press the middle button to enter and lower the volume
You cannot lower ALL of them to "zero noise." The front distance and lane depart warning volumes can only be turned down from "air raid siren" to about "Vegas slot machine."

Proper way : Have dealer set VADA to "Configuration 7" this will stop the constant beeping

Does it disable cruise control !
@@kevinbal7389 You can still use cruise control, but it won't automatically slow you down for getting "too close" to the vehicle in front of you.

What did you end up doing? I’ve had mine 2 weeks and it’s driving me crazy
@@travisdeleon984what did you end up doing
It creates a driving distance between you and the next vehicle that encourages cars to constantly cut in front of you eliminating most of the benefit.
My sensor is unplugged at the front, initially it disengages the cruise control, but then the crew starts working again
I wish volvo would let us change the distance like freightliner allows
They do. It's in Parameters and also adjustable on steering wheel

@@MrNightflight56they are adjustable to where you can barely hear them
@@100pyatt my truck doesn't allow it, I was going to lower the volume but already was at the most minimum and still sounds loud
Or you could unplug the fuse
Just wrapped with aluminum foil and problem solved
Just take the inside fuse out brother
Thx! I can't stand it 😁
Does it work good for you bro ?😊
Dealer can reprogram correctly to Configuration #7 for no more beeping
I'd this probably a good way to get fired. Just saying
Ya, you gotta do the fuse instead otherwise DOT is gonna have your ass
Or have dealer Program Configuration #7 to stop beeping
