Lance Lambert, who has often quoted Watchman Nee frquently has said that praying in the Spirit includes tongues, but it is also praying in your own language as you are led by the Spirit. My understanding is that Watchman Nee did not oppose praying in tongues or spiritual gifts, but was against the excess of spiritual gifts. An excellent book to read by Watchman Nee is “The Communion of the Holy Spirit.”
