George Hillier I would definitely say so bro. Its 20 dollars, all map dlcs are free, no cheesy pay to win microdlc, its an easy game to understand but a hard game to master, just all around a fun game with devs that seem like they care about the community.
I pretty much do a lot of this among a few other things, I am primarily a defender, and as a plus, if we lose its usually a low scoring game. I find defending so much more satisfying, finishing a game knowing your defence was so solid they probably only got 1 goal if they won, or 0 if they lose ;) but... Because I usually mostly get clearance points & saves (which also give little points and sometimes don't even register as saves) it makes me far from MvP (unless I'm doing all the main offence too, but if the enemy has a good offence I don't like risking it) and whilst I don't care about MvP medals and points as I just want to win... However if we lose a game (let's say a close 0-1 game after overtime) the team will always pick on the player with the least points, blaming them for the loss and abusing them, and sometimes that could be me, especially since just bouncing the ball around aimlessly in the opponents side of the field racks up so many centring points, even if you hit it past the centre, and shots on goal when you're nowhere near on target xD. Yet, without me the match could have easily gone 0-5 or something but I damn sure will be blamed. And if we win, let's say we win 3-0, my teammate gets a hat-trick, I've got maybe 6 saves, good clearance etc. The match 'MvP' sitting on maybe 1,000 points and me on... 400? Maybe? They will always claim to have 'carried' & 'you didn't even score once, 'sucky teammate' etc. Defenders never get enough credit, although I guess that's no different to all kinds of sports. It's all about the glory of being the scorer, taking the shots :( I'm a defender, and proud. And to any defenders reading this message, I want to tell you you're doing a good job, keep it up and ignore the post-game blaming. If they don't understand the importance of the role you're performing, it is they who don't know what they're doing, you've got this!
As someone who does graphics etc for a living i wanted to thank you for the great production value in the way you put this together. Well aware how long it must have taken but its worth it.
Hi mate just want to tell you, This morning I changed my camera settings , and watched your video. The parts of standing in the back of the goal and next to the last pole helped me to get on a 15! game winstreak and from around 2 hours of playing I went from Gold 3 Div I to Platinum 2 Div II .... Thank you so much and I hope you continue this series! It really helped me out.
Was lookin for the track that starts at 2:16, finally found it: "NicoFilippo - Following Love". Would be nice if you'd put such info in the description- this will not only help those people looking for new music, but also the artists who have made the music and once allowed everyone to use their music for free. So atleast leave them some credits or so. But despite that, the vid is made up great, thanks for the RocketLeague tips. Cheers, Haxel.
Haven't seen a tutorial vid from you in a while, but you came back with a bang. HUGE uptick in quality. Solid information, well made. Keep it up, mates.
These videos are SO well made. A lot of time and editing must have gone into this. I also loved the "10 Rocket League Skills You Need To Master Before Going Pro" video!
I don't even play Rocket League and just randomly found this video on TH-cam and can I just say, this is probably one of the best/well made video in TH-cam that I have ever seen.
"Trust your teammates" Me : *Trusts teammates* *other team scores* Teammate : our team is trash I'm joining the other team Other teammate : *leaves match* Me : yep I should totally trust teammates This actually happened though :/
What a treat of a video lads! You make it both informative for those with ability and skill who can actually do well with these tips, and also witty and entertaining for those who lack ability and coordination to do anything with the tips. I'm firmly in the latter group! Ball-chaser out!
This video and your recommendation to watch tabletop tactics completely changed the way I play. I never had a rocket league video so helpful before. Thank you so much brother!
This actually is a really good video! Great tips with details and explanations. Entertaining too! This is literally the best defensive tips video I've seen.
Now that RL has gotten quite a bit more exposure this will be helpful to many new players. Let's hope they take the time to find these type of video's for all our sake :) Well edited, dude-that-was-on-camera-a-little-while-ago-on-stream-and-i-forgot-your-name-dude.
How do backpost rotations work in 1v1? Since there's only one other player to worry about would you recommend staying more centered between the ball and the goal? Or, does that practice still work out if they are coming down the side of the field?
Great video, especially the backpost part. I understood i should be over there if theres a man in goal and play is in the other corner but i never fully understood exactly why.
I love this video once i finished watching it i sent it to my tm8s cuz they're stuck in gold3 n plat while imma bout to hit champ... This video is so well organized and explained i recommend all rocket league players to watch, very good video bro keep up the amazing work i might hit champ now.
The biggest problem is, that I know all of these. But my teammates don't. People would think that the players on Diamond 1-2 ranks would know basic things like these. Going to offense myself is the scariest thing because I can't rely on anyone.
I noticed that maybe 90% of Rocket League players are better at attacking than at defending, I met in my career of being a sucky RL player many players that amazed me at how good they are as attackers but then they can't even make a simple save and that is so frustrating, actually I always prefer playing with players that are good at defending and i don't care how good they are at attacking because goals will come eventually by luck or by mistakes
Do these Tipps work for not so pro players too? I'm usually gold 1-2 and sometimes it looks like my opponents are just doing the dumbest things because they always wanna be the first ones at the ball
actually pretty good. good common sense stuff. great solid gameplay advice. so many times i have to loop in the backfield cause my teammates are fighting for the ball. can you please go into more detail on power hits. so many times ill see a player miss the shot, stop and try to flip hit it ball. the ball goes nowhere or worse a kickball pass to the defender which just center shoots it right down down center. thank goodness im there. just circle out of the way. just excited to touch the ball. PLAY CASUAL!! lol
That was actually a really cool video! I don't usually comment this type of stuff but it was to the point, I understood everything and it was funny! I liked❤️
Its a great Video but I cant follow step 2 because I am always getting matched with newbies who just hit the ball randomly or dont hit it at all, so I permanently have be in tbe front lines and the back line... Hopefully you can make a video about a situation like that
I quit playing rocket league a long time ago 1. I didnt really improve 2. None of my friends play it so it gets boring 3. I hate the weird physics glitch I find 4. I hate how you need to buy keys to get more cosmetics And thats why I play Overwatch now
damn you should have way more subs than you do, found this on my recommended and was surprised at how high quality it is! on par with musty, sunlesskhan, etc
How can I import all this information into my teammates heads and delete after. Please help. (This is all the stuff I was able to get up on own, from just thinking normal.)
Thanks for the tips on backpost rotation. I consider myself a decent keeper and do the rotating for my teamy Apples too xd I usually play 2s with A but when we team up for 3s I will enforce BP rotation.
Timeline:
(00:46-02:14): #5 Don't dive in
(02:14-04:22): #4 Cover the backboard
(04:22-06:35): #3 Effective clearances
(06:35-09:22): #2 Effective saves
(09:22-11:14): #1 Back post rotation

Thank you for put subtitles in the video, i'm still learning English, this video is very useful thanks bro
I LOVE HOW HE PUTS SO MUCH EDITING IN TO EVERYTHING, IT MAKES ME WANT TO BE EXSPIRED TO PLAY THE GAME EVAN MORE!
You should add "dont be a greedy ball chaser" thank you.
As someone who does graphics etc for a living i wanted to thank you for the great production value in the way you put this together. Well aware how long it must have taken but its worth it.

2:06 Can we all take some time to appreciate how awesome that camera angle looks, with the Octane spoiler passing over it?

I'm in love with the editing of this video and less of a noob watching it; great job man, thanks for this!
Your editing is so damn good . . . the extra effects and angles of the edits are so good. The water effect in Aquadome and so many more. Subscribed!!!
I love how you have always shown a correct and incorrect example of your tips. It shows me if i'm doing it right or wrong. Keep up the vids!
What a treat of a video lads! You make it both informative for those with ability and skill who can actually do well with these tips, and also witty and entertaining for those who lack ability and coordination to do anything with the tips. I'm firmly in the latter group! Ball-chaser out!

Dude I love how honest you are and besides this video was ACTUALLY helpful you just earned a sub :)
Great info...what's interesting is I played goalkeeper for almost 17 years...and so much of this is strategic goalkeeping 101.
This is insanely good quality. Love the cinematics. Great job guys.
7:54 I hate how I'll actually wait and they'll miss and say "No problem." Like BITCH it was your fault
Seriously some of the best quality on youtube!! Your videos amaze me lol thanks for the upload my man!!
#5 So play 1v1's (thx I'm sh*t at those)
#4 Be Spiderman

+Adam Colyer you're ready to go pro!
Don't get me wrong ur vids are really helpful but from silver 2 to RLCS I think that might be a tad excessive
I wasn't aware of the idea of "backpost rotations" until this video. Thank you!
This actually is a really good video! Great tips with details and explanations. Entertaining too! This is literally the best defensive tips video I've seen.

3:00 " just like shooting form the 4 point Line in basketball"
The alliteration at 2:48 was great 😂😂😂😂😂😂 idk if anyone else appreciated the effort but i sure did.
This editing is insane and the video helped me as well! Amazing job you just earned a sub!!
The "boost management be damned" line makes me laugh every damn time
And also if you perform a back post rotation, you have an easy way up the back wall to cover the backboard :D
“4 point line zone”👍🏾
All you need is a good gaming chair.....
Classy comfy leather office chairs > garish gaming chairs any day fam.
That first 2 minute mini movie won me your subscription

best rocket league tutorial video I've seen in terms of advice and editing, great job guys!
probably one of the best quality tips videos ive ever seen

Tech support frollard has leveled up his defense. Excellent.

Nice editing, and also really useful tips for the players! Keep up the good work!!
Great video would be great if we could have the songs used in the video's description
Great tips mate. Songs used?
Really love your videos man. Always funny and educational. Great work 👍🏽
that rotation tip has legit changed my worldview

underrated video! and in most sports.. defense is overlooked! thank you for this fundamental tip!
Subbed for ya mate. The vid was ok and all, but the tiny little "what a save" in the intro had me dying.
This video was much more helpful then most other tips videos! Really well done editing and very clear. +1 sub
Also, what editing software do you use?
Thanks for the tips on backpost rotation. I consider myself a decent keeper and do the rotating for my teamy Apples too xd I usually play 2s with A but when we team up for 3s I will enforce BP rotation.
