Beautifully said and so true. He is the best skater to never win an Olympic medal, IMO. I think he's one of the best ever, so versatile, so creative, and still has it today. His lack of Olympic success doesn't tarnish him one bit, he's a legend and always will be.
Totally agree, esp since Plushenko already won gold he was complaining about not getting a second. Being disappointed is fine, but the way he went on and ON was what annoyed me.
@caseyphx Yeah, ridiculous tech marks. I would have given him a 5.2 at most there. But the program itself, the quality of Kurt's edges, his ability to express the music...so much talent. His presentation marks were actually too low, none of them should have gone below a 5.7 IMO.

I would have liked to have seen this skated to it's full potential.
he lands three out of five attempted triples cleanly and gets 5.7s and a 5.8 (from canada)?? those technical marks were too high.

Love his shirt I want it 😀
Kurt was so gracious in defeat which makes him a true champion IMHO. Compare that to big baby Plushenko who will never be the skater Kurt was.
pellebravesskylar I know this is an old comment but I couldn’t have said it better
Plesheko’s behavior was appalling

Firebird
Yeah and compared to the Brian’s in 1988, this falls way short . Just not great aside from choreography
