My husband is 88, drives. He volunteers to drive Vets to the VA which is 80 miles round trip two days a week. Gets physicals 2x a year. He is one of a kind in my book🥰

Me too, I also love them and their "toxic masculinity". I have such a rich, fulfilling life because of the great men around me! Strong men move mountains when they're given a woman's love (or really any display of gratitude).
Your first question was so good! Joey campaigned from his basement. My hubby died of Alzheimer’s and I knew Biden had dementia from 2019. Their surprise is so hypocritical! And yes, even though Biden is awful, no one deserves to be abused.
My sister died from Alzheimers in 2020. As well as spending the last 6 years of my life working in Assisted Living Facilities with Memory Cares attached, I recognized the signs as well.
Same here my dad then my older sister. My other sister and I saw it also. Elder abuse. I don’t blame him but his family.
Save your sympathy. Joey doesn’t deserve it. Pray for him, although he sold his soul long ago.
My mother is 90 and drives. She gave up her motorcycle at 83. 😊

I was raised in Delaware. I raised my children in Delaware. I knew Jill and her first husband Bill. I knew why they divorced. Two of my high school girlfriends are the Biden's next door neighbors. One in Wilmington and the other in Rehobeth. Yes, we all knew old Joe's condition from before he was elected President. Jill is now showing her true colors to the world.
My popcorn has been popping for a little over four years. This is an interesting time. Love you Patara. Keep on doing what you do. ❤

I am a caregiver. I specialize in Alzheimer’s and Dementia clients. I was screaming from the rooftops when Biden was running in 2020. I could see that he had cognitive issues. I could see it in his eyes, speech, and the way he walked. My own son said I didn’t know what I was talking about despite the fact that I spend 40-50 hours a week with people suffering from this terrible disease. Elder abuse is putting it mildly. I cannot express the emotions that I have felt every time I saw Joe on TV. Empathy, disgust and fear. Fear that this man is holding the nuclear codes. Fear that he is NOT the man running our country. We need to continue to pray . Pray and prepare for what is ahead of us. I do stand in the belief that Jesus is Lord. He is in control. My hope is in him. ❤
So where are the football and nuclear codes right NOW? Literally, where are they?🤔

I also knew it was elder abuse yrs ago.
My mother "snapped" in March of 2014 and by December of 2014, she was dead. Dementia presents itself in many different ways. Her situation declined rapidly to the point of her 80 pound self being able to knock over even male nurses when she was on the warpath. It got ugly very fast. She spewed the most hateful and vulgar things out in anger. I didn't recognize her. Biden is clearly experiencing dementia symptoms and he could become very difficult to handle very quickly. He does not need to be president, NOW. Just had to share my experience and my perspective with our community. Patara, you are wise and caring and I want to thank you for your being a lighthouse in the storm. God bless.❤🎉
My grandmother also became combative in the last 6-8 months of her life. She had dementia & began having conversations with herself… cursing at my grandfather who had been dead for 20yrs! She never cussed in her life. It was a terrible thing to watch…😢

Age has nothing to do with cognitive ability. There are people way younger that have dementia. And others way older that are witty and sharp as a tack.
Sadly it does. I know there are people in their 80s and beyond totally bright as a,button but sadly awful lot not
My parents were just fine at 80 they lived to be 94!

Let me tell you something. I interview the elderly for my job.
And I have interviewed 100’s of people between 65 and 94 years old, and I can tell you that 85% of them, are still very active and don’t have intellectual challenges. They are coherent, intelligent, they are very active in their community and families, they are also physically active in the most part and they are still vibrant!
Age doesn’t mean they are gone. For the contrary, they are very engaged and even when most of them have medical issues and some are even cancer survivors, they are very much intellectually fine.
Age is not an obstacle for them to have a vibrant, busy, happy and active life.
Very true. My sister died at age 65 from Alzheimer’s and my dad did also at age 89, married 70 years.

I’m surprised anyone is surprised. His dementia had been worsening exponentially over the course of AT LEAST 2 years. It’s obvious to anyone who has witnessed someone declining that fast. His “loved ones” should be ashamed encouraging him to keep going. Obviously, they were more worried about what THEY stood to lose than his health.

Anyone who has worked in health care. Especially in nursing home on dementia unit has been able to tell the entire few years his memory declined. They used him as a puppet in his state of mind. It was wrong. But all those people knew what they were doing!!

I agree with you. We took my mom's car away 6 yrs ago. She was losing her vision and showing signs of memory problems. Now she has full blown dementia and we had to put her in a nursing home. Joey same thing.

@@Nisa-gm5wg we are civil - yes, but our conversations are very limited. Despite the last ten years of asking gently to prepare for a shift in the economy, energy price - food! they still to this day never mention that they see it now.
My fathers will be 95 in Jan. He’s still sharp. Has continued to work his construction work till this last year. Lives on 20 archers and gets out, mows, wee eats, works in flower/ garden beds. Recently has been told he has onset of dementia. I have been noticing slight slips for the last year …. Hoping god takes us home before he no longer knows me. I know that’s selfish, but my dad’s always been my rock. Rather know he’s with god and my mother than here suffering.
