Steffi Graf's slice is best. She knifes through the ball and hits it fairly hard compared to the men's as they tend to have a lot more back spin which sits up when it lands.
You must take into consideration that usually men's shots have a lot more spin and pace on it meaning thats it's more difficult to hit a clean and sharp slice. That doesn't take away the fact that steffi has arguably the best slice in women tennis history I agree.
Jim and Paul seem to focus a lot on the speed of the slice and how low it bounces. Dolgopolov hits with tons and tons of spin, which makes it bounce up quite a bit. Bernard Tomic also hits a mean slice with plenty of spin but not too much pace. Slicing is not about how much spin you put on the ball, it's about hitting an effective shot.
Annacone's picks aren't bad. Murray probably has the best slice of any two handed player. Courier just seems crazy pro American. He's got Sock in top 3 forehands and Johnson in top 3 slice backhands? I admit Jack has one of the best forehands in the game, certainly one of the biggest, but not one of the best.
Courier's picj for the best forehands were right on the money he picked Nadal's forehand as the best (which is hard to argue against) and secondly Roger's and then Del Potro's, those are really the best forehands we have in our time.
Novak dosen't have an attacking slice. He uses it to neutralize the point. .his two hand drive is a huge weapon and key component of his game. I vote for Fed, Murray and Theim. Women : Graf, Navratilova, Justine henin
Johnson slices because he can't hit a top spin backhand to safe his life. Dimitrov has the most variety of slices and uses it both defensively and offensively. Recently Mateo developed good slice too.
chrisak49 She was kidding and setting up the segment for the other two to talk about how Novak needs to improve his. I’m surprised there was no mention of Graf’s slice. All time best slice in my book, particularly later in her career.
According to Courier Steve Johnson is the greatest player in the world.
With that mustache I have to agree...😉
@@davidoldham5958 YES DADDY
yeah courier has been pushing steve johnson on all ground strokes for some reason. trying to get him a sponsor or something.
Federer’s slice is his best shot!
It’s Steve Johnson’s Corner again! 🤣
Feliciano López?
i agree with you
Dan evans should be on here

it's a no brainer Steffi had the best slice ALL time, sory not Martina. Her's was a little defensive not like Steffi, it's was a weapon!

wth...did they really forget dolgopolov?
Mark Bobby maybe only for players that compete in this US open

They’re afraid to compliment his form
Pillipp Kohlshreiber never gets the credit his games deserves. He has an excellent slice and overall one handed backhand
It would be fun to compare Sampras and Federer's backhand slice. Becker's slice was pretty good as well.
steffi graf's slice backhand is pretty awesome
jim courier what the hell with those selections bro
How did she come up with Djokovic on this. smh
DelPo has been slicing pretty effectively in recent times as well.
best Men's Backhand Slice STEFFIE GRAF----------
Stefan edberg has best slice backhand in men’s tennis, followed by Pete Sampras

no courier didn't put jack sock in top 3. he put del potro. annacone put sock as #3.

John Isner?
Steffi ?

Tomic has a ridiculous slice who's with me?
Fabrice Santoro, that guy lives for the slice.
Sampras?
bernard tomic???
Dimitrov Number 2-3
Johnson slices because he can't hit a top spin backhand to safe his life. Dimitrov has the most variety of slices and uses it both defensively and offensively. Recently Mateo developed good slice too.
Oh, and Evans.
Monfils and Roddick had some nice ones too
lol i clearly meant to comment this on forehand, not anything backhand related
If you pick Federer slice and don’t pick Dimitrov slice then something is amiss
dimitriov is shit
Mary Carrillo is totally clueless. How the heck did she come up with Djokovic
chrisak49 She was kidding and setting up the segment for the other two to talk about how Novak needs to improve his.

Steve Johnson’s backhand is the most ugly thing I have ever seen
andy murray's is as good as federer's
