    FBW should partner with you to make ALL the videos on this fantastic mod. They don't narrate their videos plus you explain everything very well. Thanks for making these great videos.

      They tweet out his videos sometimes. I think it's more beneficial for both parties that things stay the way they are. If FlyByWire wants something brought to attention that he hasn't already shown I'm sure all they have to do is ask :)

      @@XciterD Yea but their "non narrated" videos aren't nearly as informative as this gentleman's.

      @@blueline308 thank you for the feedback about the narration, I will pass this along to the media team. Unfortunately we don't have a lot of people who can do voice overs, hence why we often share videos from creators, which also helps them out in the process

      @@holland7862 actually, I like both styles! I asked for some help from the FBW discord, and a helpful person was able to show me a 90-second, non-narrated video, which answered my question perfectly. Please keep doing what you're doing.

    Really love these detailed videos. It’s helping me to understand the vast nuances of the A320 and get way more out of the sim. Thanks for taking the time to make them and for sharing your incredible knowledge. I’m learning so much more than just reading manuals 👍

      If you mean like what happened to the Lufthansa aircraft in 2014 then if you search you tube for “OEB48” there are videos explaining. The newest A320’s have self monitoring of the AOA systems and can detect these problems though

    Anyone else having problems with the Autopilot on the A32NX? Every time I approach the end of a STAR, my Autopilot disconnects and the plane wants to fly off the flight plan. It also will not let me re-engage the Autopilot. I have to hand fly it until I intercept the LOC & Glideslope, then I can arm Approach mode. This happens in both the Stable version and the latest Development version. No issues with the default MSFS A320.

    If you don't completely understand the video, please go google what G force is, what it does, how it affects the aircraft along with centrifugal force, etc. It is just called load factor, but we prefer to use the term "g".

    • @pa4tim
      @pa4tim 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      If you also have Xplane11, the Flight Factor 320 and Toliss A319/A321 have almost every system implemented. Even things like the RAT and the mechanism to manually move the gear incase of an emergency. But be prepared for what you ask, the difference with MSFS regarding real life behaviour and systems is huge (however the default scenery is not the best, it is all about flying. you can get it great looking but that costs a pretty amount of money. Many simmers use both. MSFS for recreational sightseeing flying and XPlane for the studylevel airliner stuff, but there are also many studylevel GA (payware) planes.

  • @KeithWSt

    I wonder how the Air France A330 tragically managed to stall over the Atlantic without going into AlphaFloor, presumably it had slipped into Alternate Law?

    • @felipeturbayr
      @felipeturbayr 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah I had the same thought as well… their pitot tube was with ice and the autopilot stopped working maybe that contributed for not having any type of protection against stalling…

    • @louissikkema5399
      @louissikkema5399 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think the problem was that all sensors iced up pretty much at the same time, so the aircraft did not go into alternate law why the pilots were confused, but that is only my speculations

    • @felipeturbayr
      @felipeturbayr 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So I did some research. The Airbus cannot be stall in normal but in alternative law. Previous tragic events in the past have shown unusual ways in which the aircraft system have switched to alternate law: icing in the pilot tubes (AF AF 447) or by manually resetting the circuit brakers (AirAsia-Flug 8501)

    • @tomstravels520
      @tomstravels520 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      When the pitot tubes got blocked and started sending erroneous airspeed data to the ADIRU’s it rejected them as they were all different. If 2 or more ADR’s are rejected then the plane enters alternate law as it doesn’t know which ADR to believe so hands control to the pilots for them to decide and at the time even if the airspeed all recovered, it was irreversible once they had been rejected so it would have stayed in ALTN law unless it was possible to reset computers but not sure about that.
      Nowadays airspeed can be reconsidered valid and reconfigured back to normal law. Also if airspeed is unreliable modern Airbus have backup or synthetic airspeed

    Great video once again... from which I have a question. What happened to the A320 that ditched into the forest some years ago at the Paris air show when the aircraft / crew failed to climb above the trees... did the protection system fail or was it nothing to do with this particular protection system?

    • @blackvulcan100

    • @tomstravels520
      @tomstravels520 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Watch Mentour pilots video on this accident as it’s explained in great detail.
      But the simple answer is Alpha Floor protection was disabled so the plane could fly at Alpha Max without autothrust kicking in. However they flew too low, thrust wasn’t maintained correctly and by the time they saw the trees it was too late. And as the aircraft was at alpha max they couldn’t pitch up until thrust had increased but left it too late
