The only thing will missed out on was ethans reaction to mercy getting the joy icon we couldve even had it in the bloopers with him manifesting it when he found out lindon uses his shampoo
I agree about the 9.5/10. There were definitely a few things that were a little rushed, including some advancements(at least for me), but I felt so dang satisfied at the end. I smiled so much
So happy this landed for you. Be a while before I finish the series have the last three to read but want to binge then back to back so have to find a time to do that. So excited. Also thank you your early Cradle videos.were the reason I started this journey.
All of Will Wight's different series take place in the same multiverse (they're all in different iterations). It's very likely that we will see more of our favorite characters in future series, or at the very least some short stories
I would also say that my only criticism with not only this book, but the series as a whole has been the celestial/ascended story. Not even that it was rushed, but I personally found it uninteresting most of the time and I tended to sort of drift off and think about other things every time a chapter or scene came up about it. It was the thing that set Lindon off on this path and was one of the primary driving factors of what occurs during the final phase of the series, but the actual storyline with the judges, Ozriel, and Suriel I felt was mostly irrelevant to Lindon's storyline that I cared about. Perhaps this might have been different had Lindon's ascension contributed to it in some way, but even at the final page of the book, the two stories remained entirely separate with the one exception of the characters finally talking to each other again. I can't help but think of how much more scenes and character development could have gone towards our main crew had much of the abidan stuff been cut. However despite the criticism I have for these parts, this book was amazing and Cradle has easily become one of my favorite series' ever and absolutely my top favorite in the progression fantasy genre. Thanks for the review!
My only problem with Waybound is the brow-beating with member berries. "Member the empty palm? The technique that stuck with him through his entire journey?" "I member!" I dont need reminded of this. He's used it 3 times in this book already. He did a great job of closing some topics like wind-dancer and Yerrins gratitude towards Suriel. These are topics i can sit around with friends and reminisce over a cold beverage. Now i dont wanna bring these up and browbeat my own friends.
To add to this. Anyone else notice the closure of the book says The End of the Cradle series Of the Cradle Series As at the end of the cradle series, not the end of the story.?

LMAO i would have loved that in the bloopers
Glad to hear you loved it, Andrew! My turn to read Waybound soon. And then we will discuss!! :D

Amazing ending to a fantastic series! The bloopers were great!
So funny and so cruel

THE CRADLE TRAIN HAS REACHED ITS DESTINATION
What a ride it was
Completely agree. Nearly perfect ending for the series.
It was fantastic!

That would make me happy!
Fun Fact: There is an epic...EPIC blooper reel in "The Captain" - No spoilers, a connect to Cradle Series. Give it a look!

That’s fair I think!
I kinda figure he's building up his "cosmere" now, and will come back when he's ready to do the Endgame.
That would be super cool 😎
Hell yeah!!
It was great!
Am i the weirdo who's favoriteis Ziel?
He is in fact a great character

Of the Cradle Series

This is my dearest hope that the story will continue even if cradle is done! I did notice :)
