It’s cloudy because of the coconut oil. There is a reason as to why it is suggested to use baby oil. Products react differently to resin and UV lights
yes its the coconut oil its a more thicker consistency
Actually on her latest aqua nail video she used coconut oil again and they came out clear as glass. Something about the resin here made it cloudy.
As someone who's a little intimidated by the aquarium nail technique, I'll definitely be trying these! These would be perfect for creating cool accent nails!
A suggestion would be to coat the inside with clear polish after buffing to see if it gets rid of the cloudiness
I was gonna say that too. If you have to file inside the tank, it's gonna need a clear coat for clarity as well❣️

I think i'm confused on while the inside of the tank itself even needed to be etched in the first place, I could predict that being the problem right from that step.

I think baby oil (mineral oil) has a different viscosity as compared to coconut oil. Perhaps that is why the glitter gets stuck sometimes?
Even a little cloudy, I think less bulk is totally worth it. They look great!

Hi strong resin smell ans stickiness can mean that the resin isn’t good quality or not hardened correctly. Resin is toxic uncured so please be careful with usage and letting it touch your skin!

I suggest the technique Lysette Gel Nails does on her aquarium nails...the aquarium is over the whole nail not just the tip and they aren't bulky on the nail!!! They always look great!!!

Those are awesome tips! Nail tech tip, to blend the tips into your natural nail and cuticle better float some builder gel from your cuticle towards the free edge. You don’t need to go the whole way but it will ensure a smooth transition as well as add some strength. Not as necessary if you’re popping them off but if you did want them to last its a great Technique.
I guess I'm going to be one of the only ones that wants you to do duck nails more often. They look so cool to me!!

they’re so cute ! I just had a thought though: perhaps you could separate some oil to mix with a very fine glitter you want to use and insert the bigger pieces with your tweezers, might help with consistency!
