Watching Serral play is like watching those satisfying machinery videos. There's something pleasant about that reliable and repeatable precision at great speed.
Yeah, wacky. I was really impressed by his ability to *commit* to a big fight, where I'd go "okay, he's decided to go", but then decide exactly where in the middle of the fight to **pull back**, and save basically all his valuable units...really impressive.
Spellcasters. Zerg have fungals, abducts, blinding clouds, parasitic bomb. Terran have snipes. As soon as the chaff have been whittled down and the spellcasters are all that's left, that's when Serral launches his (last) round of spells and retreats. Get the spellcasters away and let what chaff survives to follow after. That he keeps his strategy means he is fighting on one flank only, but it IS still an impressive strategy that he pulls off to perfection - squeezing out every last spell he can before the chaff get chewed up. 🫡😁
I think thats the reason why he is more consistent as players like Reynor for example. When Reynor sees an opportunity for a quick kill, he will usually go for it, while Serral will invest a lot more time to deconstruct his opponent. On the other hand i feel he is missing that killer instinct of Reynor in his ZvZ, which is why he struggles a lot in this matchup. You cant play too carefull in that match up. @@DustinHorvath1987

This is the entire argument against him and its pretty dumb; specifically he needs to fight in GSL. @@MyMared Widow mines are in no way comparable to infestors or vipers. They are a tank with lower range that's it. The raven is supposed to be the terran spell caster but it's completely useless against zerg. This is weird not only from a balance perspective but also lore wise. A big bug can do so many sophisticated things but all the mighty terran scientists can do is disable mechanical units and fire a anti-armor missile. Oh and they can build a turret with a machine gun on top like in world war one. Quite dumb these humans, how they developed space travel is beyond me...
@NotYourBusiness-bp2qn I agree with you. I just noticed that widow mines can make a significant difference in games as they can have stealth and make good trades. The problem which hurts me the most with terran is how tanks are often left overs if a siege does not succeed. Despite being quite expensive..marauders and marines are easily and fast loaded into medivacs. Tanks almost always get left behind although they are the backbone of most pushes.

Vipers, Infestors, permanent invisibility with burrow, the ability to switch from ground units to air units by building a single structure, it's just too much. Zerg should win by volume not quality. This is actually true at lower levels but at high levels the spell casters of the zerg make it a formidable late game army that can trade evenly with any race if not at an advantage. That's not how it should be.
Agree with you. But terran has widow mines. They would actually need a melee unit for balance or change something about raven, and banshee
