I am going to miss Saban for sure but I'm really excited for this coach and the guys!
It's like that first car that took you everywhere for years. You fell in love with it but eventually it was time to move on. This new car feel has me pumped. Looking forward to the future. They don't make "cars" like they used to but I'm here for it. Roll Tide!

@MarchOnRome Can't be mad about Kirby's success! If anyone can replicate what Saban did, it was him. I got to go to undergrad and grad school at UA from 09-16, arguably the greatest football experience any student could ever have. Kirby was a huge part of that. I hope Bama can maintain, but I can't be mad if we drop a bit. I think we got the right guy for the job, and congrats to the Dawgs as well on their successes.
The Alabama Standard is very high. Likely the toughest place to coach in the country. Why do people think this is something Saban created?

The "Saban System" that so many SEC teams have tried to copy is going to look stale in just a year or two. After about 15 years where everyone knew exactly what they'd do, suddenly Bama is the wild-card

Everyone's been focused on Saban for so long and suddenly Bama has completely different offensive and defensive schemes and new coaches with new tendencies. All those ex-Saban assistants across the league and coaches like Hugh Freeze who basically built their careers on knowing how to beat Saban's defense, suddenly don't have any insights on Bama at all

It didn't matter what anyone try to do against nick Saban seen it to many times were bama was behind on the score board at half time the king would settle his soldiers down and make adjustments and win the game . very few times was nick out coach and the games he came up short and didn't win the game was when a player made a mistake that lost the game. But I'm behind our new coach and alabama will be fine the players who stay will play hard next season for each other united as a team. And one thing that always hurt nick and Kirby .was good qb play and killer pass attack deboer will bring that to alabama

@@christopherwoodson7162 yeah I was definitely upset about that. I was mainly disappointed that we never fixed the bad snaps and missed blocks even though we had the biggest O-line in the country. The last play failed because OT JC Latham got blown off the ball into the backfield, literally tripping up Milroe with his legs.
I like how he handled that. McAfee has to ask the question but It does absolutely no good for coach to go on and on about guys that have left. They're gone. The guys that are there are the ones he's got to coach.

As a Bama fan DeBoer is a great head coach having only 12 losses but the question is can he handle a SEC schedule next year especially play teams like Georgia again.
We knew coach KD was the hire Greg wanted and blessed we have him.
Some people don’t know Saban is still at the school as an advisor so he can still connect with the players
IF you dont like this staff on both sides of the ball? You dont know squat. Nothing. Now there is a LOT to do. Such as:
*Sorting out the QB room...
*Sorting out the O-Line room...Will we add more?...Lots of potential in this room...
*Sorting out the WR+TE rooms...
*Sorting out who our edge guys will be....
*Sorting out our Backend on Defense...
What I know to be strengths:
*An Ultra-Talented RB room...
*A WR room that will be as fast,or faster,than anyone else's with a GREAT Coach....Finally..
*Good,or better,than anyone in our IOL room...
*A couple of young hybrid TE types who could be outstanding...
*A boatload of experience up front defensively...
*Experience at ILB....
*A world of talent in our secondary,albeit some are young and inexperienced...

Yeah he's not kidding about those bama sunburns. You can even get sunburned in the winter in bama. The only place I've been to that's worse in that regard is Texas.
I think he has a really good chance of carrying the program forward, but it’s mostly gonna depend on his recruiting ability. Sometimes it’s out of the coaches hand tho.
Lincoln Riley at USC, Sark at Texas, and Lanning at Oregon, all had top 5-10 recruiting classes every year over the last 3 years. Coach DeBoer has beat them all every single time they’ve stepped on the field, and multiple times for Sark and Lanning. He probably can’t sustain top 2 recruiting classes every year like Saban. HOWEVER, if he can stay in the top 10 classes every year, he’ll be fine. Part of what makes him so promising as a coach is being able to take a lesser talented team and go and beat the more talented teams, which he has every single time until the Michigan game. Even then, he was right there in the 4th before Michigan was able to take control.
@@jaytoday10 agreed. But players knew Saban was the greatest of all time. They were willing to play for him despite major NIL payouts like Texas, Texas A&M, Miami, etc. They knew his program would lead them to the NFL and Nattys. Kalen just needs to keep the momentum. I know his reputation is doing more with less, but he is the SEC now. He will need to keep the same standard level of talent as Saban did or else the Bama program will take a significant step back. Kirby was cut from the same cloth as Saban, and he is about take over. Unless Kalen can keep up the momentum, Kirby will now be the guy to break all the records.
@@mikehancho2082Na Deboer is bringing in an offensive style similar to Hugh Freeze. People can say what they want but Kirby’s defense (Sabans defense) struggles with offenses that can throw the ball and confuse the DBs with blanketed out of ordinary patterns and routes. Auburn didn’t have a QB capable of throwing or they would’ve beat both Alabama and UGA this past season. With Freeze bringing more talent into Auburn as well as taking over offensive play calling and Deboer being a like minded offensive guru, with Saban whispering in his ear, Kirby and UGA won’t be running the table every year like some think or believe

This guy is going to be great at Bama. Nobody will win 6 championships at one school, 7 overall, ever again, like Saban. But this guy will have Bama in the playoffs more often than not, and it is GUARANTEED that he will win at least 2 championships at Bama over the next decade. Maybe more if he gets some breaks. Sure - we as Alabama fans will miss Coach Saban just like we missed Coach Bryant - but now that the shock has worn off I’m very excited about Coach DeBoer - he wouldn’t be there unless Coach Saban had made the recommendation…this wasn’t a desperation hire

NOT HAPPY with the 4-2-5 concept that the new DE likes, AL ran a 3-4-4 base defense and it is more natural. AL does not have 4 DL in the pipeline but 3 DL in the pipeline, meaning more LB and edge rush type LB. Rover position is stupid. The base gap alignment of 4-2-5 puts alot of pressure on the nose to be very good and anchor the front line defense. Instead AL in the past has shown issues with Edge rush and a 4-2-5 is not going to help with that. Also the opposing offenses are not PAC-12 or some of the Big Ten non elites and this does not mesh well in that regard either as being hugely empty pass happy.
Ironically, when I’d watch Saban teams I’d see legendary Husky coach Don James written all over them.
Now, another Washington | Bama connection with DeBoer.
First, his exit was an all-timer. He made Neuheisel and Sark look like choir boys. An absolute disgrace. It’s like how during the Great Recession people who bought houses they couldn’t afford and eventually got evicted ripped out the sinks, shrubs and the toilet.
Second, he sure can coach. 3-0 vs the darling Dan Lanning and 2-0 vs Sark. Bama will win a LOT of games with him at the helm.

The roster turn over is going hurt us some losing Caleb Downs is not an easy lost to overcome but with him going to Ohio State that does help Alabama out because let's say he went to Georgia that would been used against us in the future if you looked at where our transfers have went too that's for sure has helped Alabama because nobody's really went to anybody in the SEC other than the two guys that went to Texas to continue success at Alabama he's got to have a recruiting class in top 10 some where in and out ever year yes it's not where we was but I believe he can win with lesser talent then from a portal wise he got be in top 5 ever year. Big Alabama Fan but once the Season Starts Saban needs to move on.. Having an Office at Stadium and being Retired and will just a distraction. Let the new coach has his shot at running the show. The Main Reason I think Saban is still around Program is to try and hold Roster together.
Outside of home games the players and staff don’t really spend much time in the stadium. Saban likely wont be there all that often either.
Coach Saban can be there as much as he wants but he’s wise enough to know when or when to give the program space.
Let be real, Saban has RETIRED! Although Saban has an office in the building, Saban has moved to Florida into his mansion. It’s not like Saban is in the building or in the state. He deserves to enjoy his retirement. This is officially Deboer’s program
