Can I ask how long are you guys in the service now and how long is your tour? Do you think you will make the service a career or do you have a set date? What is the best and worst part of being in todays service?
Erik has been in for two years in October and I have been in for two years in January. We both have a 5 year contract!:) As for whether or not we’ll be staying in that’s undecided, I personally don’t believe I’ll stay in. I think the best part for me is that I’ve made some really good friends, but my least favorite part is the chaotic hours. Hope this helps!!:)
What branch of the service are the two of you in? There are no repercussions from any of the other service men? i think its wonderful if the two of you are openly accepted with straight guys in the US military, but find it hard to believe. As open and accepting as wel are in this day and age there are still homophobic omes to look out for so be careful and stay safe.
