Just want to say, love your videos and the interesting little lore snippets you help create to make the players interested. Im preparing to run SKT right now (have already ran triboar after lost mines then took a pause to prepare the rest of the adventure) and I love your ideas!
    Keep up the awesome work!

Thank you friend! I'm glad my videos are helping, please if at anytime you have a question about this campaign you can hit me up. I'll gladly help with what little knowledge i have about the forgotten realms.

FYI - Spoilers - So…. I had an idea and wanted to get your opinion. My party is heading to the Eye of the Allfather on Zephyros’ Tower with Zephyros and Harshnag. What if I have them consult the oracle, learn all about the giant lords, (I’m skipping the relics) and then meet Iymrith in Storm Giant form while they are gathering their information. She will seem like someone to trust in the beginning, possibly even help them with the remorrhaz in the other room. She will get a lot of information for herself from the oracle. But when they leave, she wants to stay back and talk with Harshnag privately in order to assassinate him and bring down the Eye sanctuary in the process. They leave the complex seeing Zephyros dead and the cloud castle floating toward the sky without a captain. What do you think?

Sorry for the late reply my friend but I had to think long and hard about your questions.
I have to iterate, first and foremost, this is your campaign and you can run it however you want because you know your table and players better than I ever will.
That being said, I really don't think Iymrith would let the players and Harshnag ask any questions of the Oracle. Being an Ancient blue dragon, there is literally nothing stopping her from just killing the party and going to the oracle to ask her questions at this point in the story. The only reason she doesn't do so is because she arrives after the party talk to the oracle and figure out where they want to head out. Which is why she targets Harshnag and goes all in on him, while he, knowing full well that he can't win alone and that the party are currently not strong enough either, breaks the all father statue and brings the temple down on her head.
This is a very frustrating encounter for the players, as it is almost impossible to stop Iymrith from killing Harshnag, but since you have 8 players, then maybe, just maybe, they do manage to get away with Harshnag but thats very, very ,very difficult to do. One breath from her literally deals 88 lightning damage on average, 160 max (highly improbable) but if she does roll a 100 then almost everyone caught in it will go down, your players will be so busy bringing everyone back up and attempting to escape this overwhelming force of nature that stands in front of them. Now, both of my parties tried to fight her, but after failing the frightful presence saves, and taking 80 lightning damage to the face they decided otherwise. Solemnly swore revenge on her as she began boring down on Harshnag while they escaped.
Now, last but not least, skipping the relics is the right thing to do. That part is literally just fluff for absolutely no reason. I would advise following the book mostly in the Eye of the Allfather with the exception of two major differences. I would make the trap to the north with the boulder have draconic runes on the ground which a passive perception of 20 would find, or an investigation check of 18. Subtly hinting at a dragon's tampering and desecration of the temple. Harshnag can say something along these lines when your party figure out that the trap is draconic in nature "How is there foul draconic magic in this holiest of places?". You can go a step further and have Iymrith use the stone giant statue that stops the boulder as a transmission device of some sort where the eyes would glow a bright blue and she can threaten the party through it.
Since Zeph is outside the temple, she has to kill him cuz he's a giant and when giants and dragons see each other its literally a fight to the death almost no matter what. So she kills Zeph, then goes in after Harshnag.
Whether she destroys the castle or not is up to you. You can give your players a flying giant castle or have it destroyed only for the Lauth servants to come in for the rescue.
Honestly, I would say let them have the castle cuz thats dope since it's already there. That way they can always remember their friends that sacrificed themselves for the greater good.
Hope this helps and again, you can run this however you see fit friend. Just remember a party of 8 level 8/9 characters just might be able to stop Iymrith right then and there. If that somehow happens, don't fret, you can switch over to Slarky ;)

Thank you for your thoughts. After thinking about it, I still have one more question. So, I definitely agree with you totally on everything - especially on Iymrith’s motivations and I want my players to really get a sense of how powerful she is. I want this fight to not last long, but to really hurt (maybe their friend Zephyros has been turned to a giant gargoyle if they are healthy enough to take him down).
My question is: Do I make them wait for days with the Oracle to ask 6 more questions each day? Or do I let them ask as many questions as they want? If I let them tarry for days on end (if they have enough food), then I can justify the consequence of Zephyros’ death. These videos are awesome, by the way. They really help me bring the world to life. My players really loved the flavoring of the towns we’ve visited, especially Triboar, Yartar, and Zephyros’ tower. They almost went to Zymorven hall, but got distracted.

@@kevinagar1412 No problem man, I'm here to help!
To answer your question, the players have 6 questions they can ask to which the oracle will reply with a lot of information. They really don't need even a second day tbh, that would just allow them to reach the exact answers right away and then you wont have any mystery left for them to solve.
