    I love my metas and being able to do the long spread is awesome it blows my mind how center voices come out of nowhere

      @@michaelcuellar59 This is definitely the best thing about them once they’re positioned properly, very wide soundstage too.

      Sicuramente hai il sub acceso

      @@tizianopozzato3925Yes the sub is on, the ls50's produce effectively no bass in a room that large.

    Metas sounding awesome! I know bass is omni-directional but I thought the sub and speakers needed to be roughly the same distance to the listening position. Obviously your demo proves this wrong? Sounds good to me…

      They do sound fantastic! And yeah for the sub, it might be better if it's placed in line with the speakers, especially for 2ch stereo, however I've tried multiple different subwoofers in different rooms in the house with different systems and I could never hear any difference sound quality wise. The only difference I notice would be the volume output changing when moving the subwoofer around. Bass is omni directional however it does have sweet and dead spots in any given room. As long as the driver is facing the same direction as the main speakers and the phase is correct, you shouldn't hear any difference in sound quality.

    How can a subwoofer supplement for a lack of bass when a subwoofer only plays sub-bass?

    • @TechBootYT
      @TechBootYT  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes sorry I wasn’t clear in my description, bass being basically 150hz and under. The metas started to roll off around 70hz I found in my situation, and the subwoofer is crossed over at 80hz so in this case it does supplement for that lack.

    They really need wall re-enforcement!

      @@roa5359 They do to get bass! Otherwise a subwoofer is needed. You do loose some soundstage depth by putting them right near a wall but nevertheless they sound great

    Who realistically can pull speakers 5-6 feet off a wall? I clicked off almost immediately

    • @TechBootYT
      @TechBootYT  หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      It’s not realistic, however they don’t sound any different when they’re 3 feet from the wall. KEF recommends a minimum of only a foot which is very close to the wall.
