Ooh, I’m LOVING these Then and Now type vids. So interesting to see how your taste (and your look) has developed over the years. Hope you’ve started a Fragcom trend!
This was a fun video to watch Claire - so glad to see Nosy Be Ylang Ylang on the list. I love that perfume and took it to Greece with me. The perfect perfume for a holiday. I also love Chanel 31 Rue Cambon as it one very few Chypre perfumes that don’t give me an instant headache 😊
I think I'd be kinder and say it shows how I have grown and changed through my experiences on my fragrance journey. Even in just over a year my nose has developed, so that perfumes I fell in love with in my early days don't quite hit the spot now. I am no where near to being a reviewer, apart from giving my impressions on the likes of Basenotes of perfumes I'm testing, but I love this hobby and hopefully I'll continue to change my perceptions of perfume.
I love these revisit vids! Reflection is such an important part of growth. Plus 2018 Claire is just as lovely as the 2023 model. 😉 Btw, I still have Powder & Dust too. 🤫🤍 It's a collector's item now. Never really understood the "for life" bit though. 🤭 Unless reviewers planning on dying imminently? 😬 'Tis our fickle nature to evolve as our preferences do. Glad to see Dan's bugspray make the 2018 top 10! 😂 Remember?
"I was worried about putting Guerlain in the list." Hahaha Your number two elicited a collective "awwww", I'm sure. Most of my favorite perfumes are discontinued... Awwwww Sweetie!!! Can you believe I've never tried a TRNP? I really have to change that! I love seeing how your tastes are changing and morphing. The tshirt I'm wearing says "Frag-head", so I'd say that's what I am. :)
I have been collecting for almost 40 years and more recently, last 10 maybe, heavier into niche. My collection was mainly vintage and Guerlains and some early Serge Lutens. I have been going back to my vintages and first loves more now as I really haven't loved as many of the newer ones as my vintage chypres. My favorite category is chypres and they simply are not made the same today, though a few perfumers that are not beholden to the silly regulations do come close. That all said, my all time favorite in my top 10 is Mitsouko Parfum and always will be and the rest of my top perfumes stays pretty consistent since my collection is hella large. Thank you for your thoughts. You have many I have not smelled. oxJulia
8 or 9 years ago before I had any perfumes, I bought a sample set from Penhaligon's. I smelled Malabah for the first time and fell in love. I bought 4 fragrances from Penhaligon's because I wanted variety, and perfumes that went with the seasons. I only wore them when I went out. At that time I was injured and didn't go out very often. I had my beloved Malabah for 6 or 7 Autumns It was always rather weak and did not last long but I loved it anyway. Then it was gone. Penhaligon's stopped making it. I wish I paid attention but I missed the opportunity to snatch up another, so I thought I'd never smell My favorite fragrance again. About a month ago something brought me to the P website. There she was. Just some left overs P was getting rid of. I only bought one bottle due to the performance and the size of my wine cooler. I can't wait for cool air to smell her again even though I now own 17 full size bottles of perfume and a few travel sprays (a laughingly small amount to many), Malabah is still my favorite. You never forget your first love.💕
Hello Smurfy girl! I just found you and I love your channel so much. I tried to find Renaissance ember, but only found rose ember. Hopefully I will find it one day! I love love love your channel. 💯💙🕊️🩵
So beautiful are your descriptions, thank you Claire. I don't have a top 10 at the moment but I do have a top 3: Xerjoff Torino21, Ruth Mastenbroek Amorosa, Perfumology Clutch.
Really loved seeing your old and new favorites! Guerlain Insolence line is stunning, the bottles are so unique. You really have made a good dent in Les Abstraits Belle Ame, I could see that being one of my favorites also. 🥰❣️❣️
I am loving the blasts from the past. My top 10 have shifted over the past 3 years as I try more things but fragrances like Dior Homme Parfum will always be there!
I really like those then and now videos❤ I have been following you for many years, and I think it is lovely to see all the fragrances you talked about so much, and even influenced me to buy some too! I appreciate that you show us what you love and what your taste in perfumery is,not q list of perfumes that were given to you by brands to rewiev. Thank you!
Hi Claire, I am attracted to certain notes and smells but I do grow tired of the sameness of things. I am glad I am no longer a one bottle at a time kind of person. I would be totally tired of a bottle when I got to the bottom and finished it off. I was always ready to move on. I enjoy diversity in my collection and it keeps me from growing to dislike a fragrance. I do have to admit I enjoy trying all sorts of things. I don't fee like I have to own everything, even if I like it. I enjoy your then and now theme in this video. change is normal and happens whether we want it to or not. Thanks for your video! 💛😊✨
Thanks Jenn, yes I was just thinking the amount of fragrances I have now give me loads of choice and so I never get bored. I used to own between 2-4 bottles at a time maximum but actually back then I never got bored bizarrely, I used to worry about bottles going off so that stopped me buying more, plus I was almost as fussy then as I am now!
5 years ago my taste was so different! So yes as a frag head I'm very fickle! Your taste is impeccable & I adore your channel🤩. I 💜 Iris too. One of my favorites is Trimerous (brand: Jorum Studio) - fantastic fluffy 'Iris' perfume 🥰 I think today my top 10 would be.... Tom Ford Lavender Extreme, Xerjoff La Capitale, Guerlain Météorites, Clean Nordic Light, Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire Black Perfecto, Molinard Habanita, Tom Ford Oud Wood, Narciso Eau de Parfum Ambrée, Jorum Studio Pentimento, and perhaps my favorite tuberose of all-time, Narcotic Venus by Nasomatto. P.s. i adore Zoologist Cockatiel🥰💛💝💖
Aw really enjoyed this video idea. It's very interesting to look back and see what our flavour of the month was. And actually, i don't think your fickle at all, in fact i think you have tons of integrity in those true love scents. I remember seeing you talk about many fragrances consistently, and it shows a clear solid style of fragrance that you enjoy. Musky. . White florals. . Natural sweetnes. . Powdery. . Etc etc. Oh and lashings of concrete dust 😅 I'm very inconsistent with my tastes 😅, and have no clue what on earth my nose is playing at one day to the next. Lovely to see Sweetie 💜 I've not a scooby doo what my top ten would be currently, but i guess it's a good test to see how it's changed from my previous video. 🤔🤔
Thank you for taking us on this journey!
Thank you so much for supporting me 💖
Awwww, Cameo by sweetie ✨🐈✨🐈✨. This was fun Claire, Ty 💙
Nice to see a new video from you . Awsome list.
Take care hope to see you soon with another video 👍 My scent of the day is Chergui by Serge lutens
Thank you for watching

Glad you enjoyed it! 🌸
Such a good idea for a video Claire! 🙏🏻🪻💫
My top 10 is ever changing. 😊 But right now Angel is my #1!🪽✨
Glad to see info on Catherine’s perfume. I had a look the other day and couldn’t work out how to order. I have little 10mls and it is gorgeous
Yes it’s such a beautiful one, I’m glad she’s bringing it back.

Thanks Marybeth yes BelleAme is a beauty, I’m looking forward to wearing her more as we get cooler weather 💖

I’ve been thinking recently I need to add DHP to my collection, so good!

I’d love you to do a video if you get the chance would be so good to see what’s changed 💕
Oh Sweetie! ❤ Great to see the younger you Claire. Did you really talk that fast or is it the tape? *speed!*
I was on speed back then… kidding I accidentally sped up those older clips.
@@Smurfygurly ahh 😀
I'm wearing Santal Majuscule by Serge Lutens today 😇
Gorgeous!!
You have good taste and you’re consistent. I’d love to try Embers. ❤️
