      😂 thanks Francesca I find other peoples reactions fascinating, especially if they’re not especially into fragrances.

    I managed to order a sample and it wasn’t an immediate love for me as well but you commented I should try it a bit longer and it grew on me. I like it now for everyday wear. I sprayed it while you took me along with your experience

      I’m so glad to hear that, yes it’s perfect for every day although I also feel that maybe it’s too special for every day. Either way I crave it.

    Hello Claire,
    I wasn't sure you would be returning after your last video. I hope your Halloween paddle was amazing! Lots of fragrances deserve a full wear on the skin before casting judgement on them. Thanks for the review of Francesca's Unspoken Musk.

    Hello Claire, thank you for this detailed description. I found it very interesting. I'm very sensitive to body odors and get easily disgusted, yet I find fascinating the project of creating a scent that would evoke a loved skin beautiful natural smell. One of my favourite notes is immortelle, because it reminds me of childhood summer holidays I spent playing on corsican beaches with other children. I agree with the spicy and maple syprupy nuances you mentioned, and, no surprise, I love immortelle in "Sables" from Goutal wich is based on Annick Goutal's memory of a corsican beach under a hot sun. Here's why I'm so happy I saw your video: when I smell immortelle I also picture a human skin smell, more specifically the smell of children's hair/SCALPS under a hot sun, when they have run and sweat a bit. So not only is immortelle kind of sweet/maplesyrupy and spicy, to me there's also a very subtle animalic nuance in it , as we humans are animals :). Although I'm not sure I'll like the irissy "manilla" part of it ;) , I'll have to sample this fragrance (and the other Bianchi's)!

      @Smurfygurly  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      What a lovely scent memory, yes as an immortelle lover you should definitely give it a try but be aware the “manila” is the main part of the fragrance for many hours of the dry down.

    hello do you have a video reviewing angels dust by any chance please...i couldn't find when i did a search. I remember you used to like the lover's tale, sex and the sea neroli and tyger tyger...but don't really remember if you talked much about angel's dust. I used to have a little decant or either the dark side or angels dust and having recently tried the dark side again i still cannot work out which was the one i was reallt into haha.

    Great review of it, sounds really quite interesting, I think I know what u mean about immortelle it's a little like a sweet turmeric, the rooty thing not the powder.

    Claire - thanks so much for this review. It sounds like one I’d be interested in. Your hair looks wonderful. I recently got a decent haircut after growing it out during Covid. I’d love to know your styling process, my hair length is much like yours and curly. Sheri

    • @Smurfygurly
      @Smurfygurly  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Sheri! Good to see you. I wash and condition then use a leave in conditioner (cream or spray) then a styler, usually mousse or gel specifically for curly hair but here I used a coloured wax by mofangjang, the only problem with the wax is by day two it feels a bit gross, heavy and weighed down.

    • @sherismith3256
      @sherismith3256 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Smurfygurly Thanks so much for the reply, Claire. I will check out the coloured wax product. What color did you use? I all know is your hair looks lovely, healthy and shiny, full of bounce and body! How do you apply it?
      Also, whether using this product or your regular routine, do you let your hair air dry or blow dry? What styling tools do you use (do you use a curling iron?) One of my problems is my hair tends to get flat at the top back of my crown, so I should probably use a styling tool to give it some lift. My hair got so much healthier during Covid because I was air drying. When I introduce heating tools, it tends to get frizzy/split ends. Thanks for your advice.

    • @Smurfygurly
      @Smurfygurly  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@sherismith3256 I usually use a diffuser to dry it, I try not to part it with hands but shake my head so the part is found naturally with flattening my hair near the top. I don’t use any other tools. Just spread the products through then gently shake it about, make sure there’s no frizz and gently diffuse dry concentrating on roots first. Check out Manes by Mel on TH-cam she’s a curly genius and so funny too.

    Hi Claire. I enjoyed that. It sounds like something I would like. The new Jusbox fragrance has a slightly dirty but clean musk with Iris so this sounds similar (probably a little dirtier) I also have GZ’s Signature Royale X which has a dirty ‘pissy’ smell but weirdly I like it and keep going back to it. Anyway Hi from Bex and I 👋
