Dou Dou relationship with her grandma was exactly like mine. I would gladly give my life for my grandmother. When I was young I don't go to bed without her next to me, and when we move oversea it was horrible for me. I was so alone for many years and I miss my grandmother terribly, every time I hear her voice over the phone I will start to cry so I stopped talking to her on the phone. She dies 15yrs ago :(
I am a Chinese American that live sin the US, but I find all of the CNA programs are very interesting and meaningful, much better quality than what we have in the states...
Then do you have some disdain against ur family for leaving you with your grandparents?? Many times, kids love being with their grandparents than with their parents in such situations.
Thanks! The entire Season 1 is now available. Do keep a look out for the other seasons where we introduce new families. And Season 4 will be debuting on our website at cna.asia/family-affair-s4 later this month!
No matter what country or culture family dynamics are an ongoing challenge. I kind of feel bad for the older son as he is not as naturally gifted as his younger brother and it has obviously affected his self esteem. He needs vocational guidance as it’s never too late but YOU have to be motivated to improve your life. It’s so nice to see the Chinese father focus on the important things - they are not super wealthy but have a strong bond. Children need attention and a connection with their parents NOT lots of material things. Investing in your children’s early years pays off later - it’ can be a stressful in the early years struggling for money. Doudou is an adorable positive personality- the pressure on Asian kids is intense. The scene between DouDou and her Granny was beautiful.
For Asians, family is really important. It saddens me that so many factors in today's world. The money, bad influences, "different kind of thinking", etc... are factors that eventually break up the Asian family. We see some of these reasons in the hidden pressures of the South Korean family. According to the channel, this series was made back in 2016. The upload of the series is one episode per day. As of June 9,2019, there are now 4 episodes uploaded. I really hope that these families are still okay today and are together. I wish them all the success and happiness in this world. I really wish that Asian families, especially with the newer generations, would start going back to their roots. Rediscover again why family is really important. Before the "modern world" and "global" thinking destroys even more Asian family ties and traditions. I really hope that DouDou grows up well. I wish them all success.
Dou Dou is so adorable:-)

Creds to the Dad for taking the initiative to spend more time with his only child, and take on n household tasks!
Yes, but he doesn't give his wife any credit, after all she is the one bringing the income, not him!

I think it's time for eldest Cho son to go into the military. The discipline would be good for him.
