- My wife Caitlin wanted an outdoor kitchen at the cabin. Here is what we built her. I'm sure this forest kitchen will host many great fire-cooked meals and be the grounds where plenty of great times are shared with friends and family.

I'm not much into the food production and consumption (had cancer of the nasal pharynx 37 years ago and have difficulty eating/swallowing now), but I can appreciate the kitchen build. You remind me a lot of Christian Bale... similar look, I guess.

And yes, I can see how you are suffering with that amazing family of yours, and the great outdoors, and the great food, and the great work, and the great smell of the fire, and yes, ok, changing nappies can be a bit rough, but the shots of your baby make my heart soar, and those of her trying to chew on a steak brought back so many memories.
Great project you two, and yes, I am a bit late, but its great to see you suffering these hard times alongside the rest of us.

So you’ve been asked this question a bunch of times. I just started watching and have been amazed by your patience , ingenuity, and humble brilliance. Oh- and not sure how you work in a buttoned
shirt and long sleeves.
So- what brand of chisels are you using ?? No lie.. I covet them.
Especially, enjoyed the Electric Baby powered by EcoFlow.
The long sleeve help prevent bug bites and sunburn. You get use it. Grep up watching all the cowboys always wearing jeans and long sleeve shirts all summer. Now I understand why.

All your videos are therapeutic to watch. My main question is: Where do you store all your food safely to prevent wildlife and insects from messing it up? Do you make trips all the time, have a fridge off to the side powered off solar or a secure cooler? Where's all this food hiding?
Well we don't live here so we usually just come for a night or two. We bring a cooler with ice.

Yeah I build like this at our place as well.Modern people don't realize how to live/build inexpensively, especially a kitchen. How do you do the dish washing thing? Especially in the cold? Then there is the whole trash management thing. Good luck!
For dishes we just heat water on the fire and scrub clean with dish sponge. Trash we bag and store in a snap down air sealed box until we take it out.

Yeah, the plan is to eventually move it but in the meantime we might as well enjoy our time here and make it comfortable.

Love your videos, seems like you are building on your relation as well as on the house. Is this house going to be your home or a vaccation place? How do you like your tentipi ? I am from Sweden, Tentipis home... I hae two, one in the light serie a nr 5, and then a big nr 9 cotton, and I really like them.
This will just be a vacation home. As for our tipi, very well made, but just found it to small for comfort for 2 now three of us, and to heavy for a solo trip. Wish we had gotten a bigger one. 9 seems like a good size.
Little Asetta is getting bigger every day and cuter by the minute! She was going after that beef/elk? All my kids loved BBQ times, my daughter loved to suck on rib bones. Great tavern! God Bless your family. My wife would love to know what music you used in this video.
