Nice! I got nearly the same cleaner to do engine heads. Inspired by Jafromobile. I got the 22L version and wish I had gotten the 30L, though it can still fit at least a 3-4 cylinder head, it's just a bit short for comfort. I've been running a mix of mostly Oil Eater, my fav degreaser, and water. It can get stuff spotless if you run it long enough. Only issue I've hit is sometimes removing the zinc coating from items. I'm not sure if it's due to the temperature or degreaser concentration or just ultrasonic cleaning in general. Do check the SDS for degreasers before using them because some are toxic when fumes are inhaled. Not that it will kill you right away or anything, but it's still nasty. One reason I like Oil Eater is it's water based and non-toxic. I've also found that reorienting parts and running a few cycles helps get the gunk off. Overall, I have similar fantastic results. Ultrasonic cleaner is a must for home resto and small parts cleaning. I just did the full heads from a 3VZ-E including cams, valves, and valve covers. Came out mostly looking brand new other than the permanent corrosion. Your valve cover came out awesome!
Go to harbor freight and get yourself a 5 gallon bucket parts washer attachment. You can pre-clean your parts and then ultrasonic clean it. Also look into simple green aircraft grade cleaner. works awesome and doesn't eat your parts.
IMHO ultrasonic cleaners work best on "dry" dirt as opposed to sticky oily dirt. You'll probably get better results on these types of oily parts with stronger solvent solutions and some more "pre-cleaning" by hand before you cook them in the cleaner. As you see it will not do much on the oxidation/corrosion of the aluminum parts. If you've got money to burn you could have the valve covers blasted with dry ice which will remove that oxidation nicely. I'm a big fan of these cars - my 98 LC has about 350K miles on it now!
@@JJinMotiongreat advice my 98 Lexus GS300 has 150k miles or 241,401 Kilometers an I drain an fill my trans fluid every oil change I do and use the Castrol Synthetic Dexron Trans fluid Jug that comes with 3 Quarts or 2.83 Liters which is usually what comes out the trans pan when drained… So I can slowly flush it out over time to leave some clutch pack material in the fluid but I would never flush it an filter change it after 100k I learned the hard way on my 1992 Lexus ES300 with 297k miles or 478 kilometers when I did a flush my trans started slipping within 100 miles
I've been wondering, if VVTi actuators suffer from tacky movement because of oil varnish/residue/carbon crap, giving them a bath in ultrasonic should loosen it up pretty good? Water is probably bad idea, but acetone or other solvent (diesel?) as a ultrasonic fluid then why not?
BRO I was just thinking about getting one of these. LET'S GO!
Hell yeah brother!
Man ultrasonic cleaners are epic
They really are amazing!

I need that aircraft grade stuff!
@@JJinMotion works awesome. I used it as a degreaser for my subframe after removing my engine and then all the misc parts.
😮 now I want one!
It’s wild how good of a job it does, dude
