Probably cause it was first contact, they basically have shattering ceramic armor and decent health. Explosions (save for the autocannon) seem to take em out pretty quick.
Depends on which barrage # it is, the patterns for each barrage are different in order of when it was thrown. #1 is deffo safe to prone in the middle for tho.
@@laeamminlakana-matt5692 I don't remember a 380mm barrage that wasn't safe in the center (proned), and it was across a wide number of barrage #s. (Have you also seen the "Barrages are NOT random video?")
@DarpMasta_JDKg1375 I have seen it yes, otherwise I wouldn't know about the number thing. Admittedly I don't often throw 380s under myself, but the number #1 strat I use when I get one too near me is run for the center for the safest position, but I've also gotten blasted to pieces once I made it to relative safety while waiting for extract, when one of the guys dropped their 380 due to being made to fall over. May have hit something else near us, and also the bombardment angle matters, but in any case I've gotten killed when prone in the middle of the area.
@@laeamminlakana-matt5692 If you try proning on the marker if the marker is moving (Whether it got stuck to an enemy or a vehicle or so). You have to go to where it originally stuck, and not where it is AFTER it moved. But thats the only thing I can think of.
@@DarpMasta_JDKg1375 Seeing as I'm not trying to investigate and publicize this to an audience, but just replying to a youtube comment, I feel it unnecessary to waste an unknowable amount of time trying to get myself hit by a barrage of who knows what number who knows whether it was significantly altered by the angle of fire and all. It was probably near map edge as most extracts are, and it was one of the built extraction sites vs automatons. Also my computer is dead rn so I'm already missing time in game.
It took me a little longer than it should have to realize you should shoot the legs on the Harvesters instead of the center mass. Dear god, the tripods
And how much experience do you have with Illuminate? How much research did you do watching tubers test different strats/loadouts? Calypso was pretty much a cold introduction to the illuminate and how to handle it. Sure the curve was fast, but it was a raw learning experience for most.
I had such a hard time with the illuminate for calypso. The slugger and autocannon were not working for me
Yea i learned that lesson quickly too. Machine guns are much better for a versatile option.

Trying to see what weapons were most effective against a new faction was the best part of the early Illuminate :D
Arc thrower and air burst the way
If you lay prone directly on the 380mm barrage marker you live, though you may get rocked around.

Ah, a fellow connoisseur of the Plasma Scorcher. You know its effects on frying only the best of calamari.
I'm with the Purifier but I have to work on unlocking the Scorcher

good....good...
was not that bad 10s were fun
That’s true, fighting the Illuminate is really fun and easier (as of right now) than the other factions in my opinion
Hell? You mean Hell of a fun? I was racking 1000-1200 kills per mission and got 25k kills just during Calypso defense. It was crazy
These Illuminate aren't as threatening as the Illuminate seen in the first game, without Illusionists they're not as powerful as they could be.
You realise the walker is basically the equivalent of a charger, right? There's a lot more in the roster to come.
@@Iymarra Wrong faction if you somehow mistook the Bug's charger for the Illuminate's Tripod and Strider.
do people realy find the illuminate hard? i didnt find them that hard.
Maybe me and my squad are just bad lol
