I love seeing you opening the boxes on camera too because I know that I love opening a box and seeing a new book inside. The cover for A Map for the Missing it STUNNING
The Serpent and the Wings of Night is book 1 in a duology so yeah, that's where you're supposed to start. :) There's also a novella that can be read in between books 1 and 2. I loved the book! Yet to read the sequel but I'm told it's just as excellent if not more so. You'll be a goner for the romantic plot but the fantasy/politics parts are also quite good. Enjoy!
OMG, A Psalm for the Wild Built is one of my favorite books of all time, it’s such a short book but it feels enormous. Amazing, emotional, got me in tears for half of it 😂 There’s also a second novella after this one!
The Serpent and Wings of Night does have to do with Vampires there is a novella after this one and the second book is also out now. I hope you enjoy it, I really liked this book. I am excited to continue on with the series.
I also absolutely love the invisible library series and just finished book no. 8 in the series. I was so sad it's finished now, so I'm also really excited for Scarlet! :))) I also just started a TH-cam channel if you wanted to have a look. I'm trying to grow a small bookworm community :))
I really really enjoyed Weyward. One of my favorite reads of the year so far. The Book that Wouldn’t Burn has me very intrigued. Broadbent has some serious writing chops. Haven’t gotten to her Nyaxia books yet, but I really enjoyed her Daughter of No Worlds trilogy.
A Psalm for the Wild Built is absolutely wonderful. I need to read the sequel but my husband loved them both. Scarlett sounds amazing. I'm planning on reading Weyword this summer.
A surprisingly good cozy mystery I devoured this weekend, An American in Scotland by Lucy Connelly. First in a new series. Great setting, the protagonist brought to the new situation in a plausible way and not cliche, a perhaps slow burn romance, great female friend circle developed.
How High We Go in the Dark is an anthology of sorts. Irs different short stories all set in the same universe and they intertwine. But that means some of the stories are truly heartbreaking and not hopeful at all. Thay being said I really enjoyed it.
Ohh I just bought the book that wouldn't burn yesterday, I'm so excited to read it!! I'm also currently reading psalm for the wild build and it is indeed very wholesome but a lot more funny and edgy almost than I expected.
I am almost done with Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation vol 5, which I acquired last week, and I also recently picked up Night Angel Nemesis by Brent Weeks. My order of Rick Riodran's Sun & the Star is on its way.
@@FiremanSinead1 they show up everywhere, even in videos where the creator is based in a country they don't ship to. And its always the same books. It drives me insane and I always skip through them angrily😂
I'm not a fan of the company, so I normally skip that portion of videos. But, you're right, they are everywhere and so often that I can give the shpeil by memory.
I get this way with pre-video TH-cam ads but for creators I’m now of the mindset of being glad that some of my fave book people have a consistent sponsorship opportunity if they want to take it, I like seeing who chooses which books but like others have said if it’s not your thing can skip through!
Omg Regan you HAVE to read The Serpent and the Wings of Night immediately!! I have a feeling it's exactly the kind of fantasy romance you'd really be into! I also think it's best to go into this book not knowing much because it's so fast-paced and you'll be FLOORED by the ending
I'm so excited to see that you got The Book That Wouldn't Burn by Mark Lawrence!!! I can't wait to get my copy, it doesn't come out until the 11th here in Ontario!
I have Malice on my shelf and I really need to get to it. Valor is gorgeous. I’ve held off buying it so far until and as an incentive to finally pick up Malice. And Hunger of the Gods😊. Weyward is already on my tbr list and I am adding Scarlet now.
Some books I've recently gotten are--Heaven Official's Blessing, The Moth Keeper Second Coming (the second book in a queer, religious horror series by an independent author that I'm friends with) And finally: The Sun and The Star!!
I CANNOT wait to hear your thoughts on Weyward! I personally loved it. I'm in the middle of reading Babel and the uneven pacing is killing my reading mood. Weyward literally fixed my entire bookish life! The story has beautiful layers and a masterful pacing! Just don't go into it expecting the "witch hat, shimmering cauldron, ride a broom through the sky" type of witchcraft ^^'
I just finished ‘How High We Go In The Dark’ because it was a recommendation from Katie Colson in her video book recommendations based on your zodiac, and I’m not sure if it is because I’m an Aquarius but I really enjoyed it. It was very different from what I usually like, I usually like following a straightforward timeline and multi pov books can be very hit and miss but it was just so interesting. I’m still thinking about a handful of the characters and plot lines, definitely left an impact.
i fishished age of myth yesterday and need the second right now! And I'm waiting Amazon to send my copy of The Serpent and the Wings of Night, also bought because of the hype 😅
Great video...I think you've got me sold on trying the BOTM. I'm super busy with work and grad school, but knowing I can "skip" a month if I'm just too busy is comforting. I'm just finishing up Stephen King's Fairy Tale after watching your video on it. It's my first fantasy book, and I really enjoyed it. I've always been a murder mystery type of person but decided to branch out, and I'm glad I did. Watching your vids to see if I can find another fantasy-type book I might like...just not into romance, so not that type of fantasy...lol.
Massive trigger warning with Weyward. The SA is written in a super gross way that I've never experienced before. This is coming from me, Outlander fan #1, lol. It's gnarly. Heads up to anyone who wants to read this!
I’ve recently got 📚: 1. Priory Of The Orange Tree 2. The Lie Tree 3. The Girl of Ink & Stars (my current read) 4. The Scorched Earth 5. Murder at the House on the Hill 6. Murder at the Summer Fete 7. Murder at the Village Church enjoy your new books! ❤️
I read malice the first book in John Gwynnes faithful and the fallen series and I loved it, I’m about to start the second one soon. Prepare for emotional distress 💀

I love your content, but I'm begging you to stop the sing-songy explanations of books where inflection goes up at the end of every sentence. Please listen back to your videos and you'll see what I mean. You only do it when explaining books and then talk normal the rest of the time. I don't say this to be mean. Like I said, I love your content.

There really should be a BOTM paperback version 🥰 anyone else strongly prefer paperbacks to hardcovers?? 📚
I don’t have a preference for personally but yes they should have an option for paperbacks!
If they're floppy paperbacks, then yes. Otherwise, I usually prefer the hardback at this point. They hold up better.
Life has been rough, and your videos have always been a comfort 🥺 Added a lot of your hauls to my TBR!
I love seeing you opening the boxes on camera too because I know that I love opening a box and seeing a new book inside. The cover for A Map for the Missing it STUNNING

THIS!! Everyone loves this book and I truly cannot wait to pick it up!
I loved Cogman's Invisible Library series, so I'm keen to see how Scarlet turns out. I hope you enjoy!
Me too!!!
Ooh! I love the Scarlet Pimpernel!
The Serpent and Wings of Night does have to do with Vampires there is a novella after this one and the second book is also out now. I hope you enjoy it, I really liked this book. I am excited to continue on with the series.
The Dance Tree was interesting, I loved the history surrounding it and the mythology of it!
I’ve just read wayward and I absolutely love it ! I actually listened to it because I was worried it wasn’t going to keep my attention. I loved it
Paper Names was sooo so good!!! Ate up the audiobook so quick!!!
I'm so excited for Scarlet. Genevieve Cogman's Invisible Library series is such good fun.
I also absolutely love the invisible library series and just finished book no. 8 in the series. I was so sad it's finished now, so I'm also really excited for Scarlet! :))) I also just started a TH-cam channel if you wanted to have a look. I'm trying to grow a small bookworm community :))
I loved Weyward. Scarlet and The Serpent and the Wings of Night both sound great, it's been a while since I read a good vampire story.
your voice is comforting..
I LOVE The Scarlet Pimpernel!! It was my absolute obsession for a solid year or two when I was younger. I HIGHLY recommend reading it.
I really like your floor lamp ! ❤ Where did you find it ?
I really really enjoyed Weyward. One of my favorite reads of the year so far. The Book that Wouldn’t Burn has me very intrigued. Broadbent has some serious writing chops. Haven’t gotten to her Nyaxia books yet, but I really enjoyed her Daughter of No Worlds trilogy.
i always look forward to your "HUGE unboxing book haul" videos, the "lol oops" always fills me with joy because it's such a mood😂💖
Love all the beautiful books! Plus, Taylor's Version of Speak Now coming out!!💜
The Scarlet Pimpernel is one of the first masked heroes! Think proto-Zorro and Batman
A Psalm for the Wild Built is absolutely wonderful. I need to read the sequel but my husband loved them both. Scarlett sounds amazing. I'm planning on reading Weyword this summer.
Yessss so excited for you to read Serpent and the Wings of Night!! I’ve been hoping you’d pick it up. Can’t wait to hear your thoughts!!
The collected regrets of Clover is a great book
A surprisingly good cozy mystery I devoured this weekend, An American in Scotland by Lucy Connelly. First in a new series. Great setting, the protagonist brought to the new situation in a plausible way and not cliche, a perhaps slow burn romance, great female friend circle developed.
I loved Serpent and the Wings of Night.
YES The Serpent and the Wings of Night is SO GOOD! I'm so excited for you to read it!
Ooh Scarlet sounds amazing.
I have started The Book That wouldnt Burn and so far I'm loving it ♡
I got Divine Rivals as an add on this month as well. New to fantasy, hope i love it ❤

I definitely want to read The Dance Tree 👀

Whyyy?

I press skip instantly 😂😂😂

I'm more of a library gal, but I committed to buying ACOTAR and am going to try that series out this summer!

Really wanna get copies of Weyward and A Psalm for the wild Built. I’ve heard such great stuff!
I devoured Weyward it was so good!!!!
How High we go in the dark was one of my favorites of last year!!!
I'm so excited to see that you got The Book That Wouldn't Burn by Mark Lawrence!!! I can't wait to get my copy, it doesn't come out until the 11th here in Ontario!
how high we go in the dark is the best book i've ever read truly

I read The Collected Regrets of Clover the day after I received it and it is INCREDIBLE. Best book I’ve read so far this year
My box got held up at the post office, and I'm still waiting on Clover to arrive!!
Some books I've recently gotten are--Heaven Official's Blessing,
The Moth Keeper
Second Coming (the second book in a queer, religious horror series by an independent author that I'm friends with)
And finally: The Sun and The Star!!
Yay, Heaven's Official Blessing! I think vol 6th comes out later this month. I am waiting on my order of Sun and the Star to arrive.
I just finished Wayward and loved it! 5 stars! Hope you enjoy it. That new mark Lawrence series definitely has me intrigued as well!
