This weeks video is a welding project. Its all about fabricating a shop stool using Stronghand Tools build pro precision welding table and modular fixture package. This project could be done with tig, mig, or stick welding.
This seems like an ideal model for sponsored videos in the TH-cam format. The critical acknowledgement is there, and overall the product looks great. Great demo.
Well done Jody, that one took some time to make I'd say, very good. If you keep this up there will be lots of people around the world with your little projects in their workshops, The idea of making your own tools and equipment is very appealing to most people.

Absolutely outstanding vids. Your camera work following the pools is super. I'm learning a lot, thanks. That little protractor from General is my favorite shirt pocket tool, I use it constantly for fabrication.
Really glad to see you're being sponsored! Great video and thanks!
Hey Jody
Great video, i was just about to buy a couple of pipe stands but after watching this i think ill be making them now based on your stool design. awesome work Jody
SWEEEET. Gotta check out the Fixture point for home shop. Good stuff Jody. Stay Frosty

Thanks, Jody, for the great video! I actually am building the stool right now with the similar 'guiding', 'not welded' nut design and while yours spins freely at 3:17 after axial seam welding, mine was not. I used TIG. I checked it after each axial weld and each time it was stuck. But I found that if I hit it with the hammer a few times after each weld while its still hot, it released and started to spin freely.
Great idea welding the flat bar to the nuts. Another cool trick for me to steal! :)
Excellent easy and doable project for the beginner, thanks friend.
Great video Jody as always !!!
Love the MSDS work around!
Someone needs to tell discovery channel to check you out so they can send a film crew to film for you so we can have videos everyday!
Great Vid....and i love your working table...wish for one.....
Look forward to your video on the stand for the Pota band.
i will be putting together all of 2012 videos on a DVD pretty soon
I picked up my protractor, that looks very similar to the one that Jody's using at Harbor Freight a couple of years ago.
hey jody are you gonna sell a dvd again? I'll go for it! Also an idea, you might be able to sell through amazon so you wouldnt have to worry about copies, shipping etc. youre the man thanks for the time and effort you put into your vids and sharing your years of experience, thanks jody!

Hi and thank you for all your videos they are fantastic today I am beginning become a welder and. I am 70 ,, around metal from racing and stuff. And just next took the time because I was afraid I'm being made fun of ,, cuz I can't read and write and never went to school it does not make you stupid so I have to do things a little difference I just bought a Harbor Freight titanium 200 one of those multi machines on impulse I can't find any way or anyone to help me can't afford to pay I love your videos I know the harborfreight gets beat up well-deserved. At Times but when you cannot afford much and you save for a couple years to get a couple dollars it's not a bad second choice in my situation anyway,,, not the best machine but that's what I have and that was a choice I had to make.I did it so be it .. your videos are great No Nonsense very easy to understand for somebody that knows nothing so thanks thanks thanks I can't thank you enough God bless have a wonderful time welding,, I can dream can't I ?
Wait till you see the trolls after this one
Love your videos!
Jody.... Great vid/channel..... When u have time check out my ports band stand, quick handheld to vertical and then back to handheld with an adjustable height table so you don't have the full blade exposed when not necessary. Simple build with some welding
Jody, do you happen to have any information on the fixture point table? A quick search provided no details on it. The smaller size and cost would be perfect for what I need!! Great tip on not welding the second nut!! I've ran into that exact problem recently!! Thank you for your videos sharing your knowledge!
ok awesome thanks
its there at about 6:30
Actually, I am . I was using the imig 200 for this video
Thanks
Great information as always. When is the next part coming out
Can you share the links to the people that sell those table tops and tools please, thanks. great, videos and I like how clean, neat and precise you are. I'm the same way.
its just a cheap little tool I picked up at Home Depot
holy freek I love welding!!!
"Metals and How to Weld them" from the James F Lincoln Foundation.
copy and paste the above in Google and you will see jflfoundation website.
It is only 10 bucks and the best welding book for the money.
Another good little book is the "Audel welding pocket reference"
Thanks, I like your explanations as you go along with the videos. Just found you and will follow as you make the videos. John in Pensacola. Fl
Waiting for the DVD :3
As always , very interesting!
Hey Thanks for the education.
Hey Jody,

great thanks
Another great video! Thanks man. One a separate note, im ready to finally buy myself a new mig. Im thinking miller. I never weld heavier then 5/8 and i want to have a spool gun for aluminum. Spoolmate and a millermatic 211 sound about right?
I have that welder and couldn't be happier with it. Granted I've only had it for a little over a month but I've put quite a bit of use on it within that time frame. Check out my channel for my unboxing, review, setup, electrical install, and projects I've build with it.
pam! i love it lol
Jody what is the diameter you drew on the table??
what is pam ? we don't have it in uk
nice
Sorry, you could have put the band saw table link in the details below the this video, much easier on us. ;}
Yeah it for "wood" but I've only seen welders use it.
easer way is make print for legs an calculate angles
used cooking oil from the local fish and chip shop makes the best anti spatter
One of these days I will find an American that can mig weld correctly!.
where's part 2?
ths is good thing.
👊🏻
You might like to look at camdenmin.co.uk - they have a lot of books on shop skills, including welding. (No financial interest, just a satisfied customer.)
Good video but damn stop chewing gum while talking it's sooooo annoying
Stop being so weak. It's easier than asking the world to change for you.
