Yook Sungjae is always doubting his singing skills because he can't hit high notes like Eunkwang, Changsub and Hyunsik, he even categorised himself as sub-sub vocal of BTOB. But he has an amazing technique in singing and watching this, though this clearly shows Seunggi's experience, he's not that far behind. There's a bright future ahead of him.
Golden Touch well, no one can really compare someone with 10+ years(? I'm not sure when Seunggi debuted) experience with someone who just debuted 6yrs ago 😂 and Seunggi is Sungjae's rolemodel. Sungjae is just 22 😂 he's still a baby (for me). The purpose of my comment is just to say that Sungjae shouldn't doubt his singing skills 'cause I feel really worried because he said that he's scared that people will not like him (since his voice is changing). And sungjae is crying often these days (well, if you follow BTOB you'll know) i'm afraid that something is bothering him and this could be one of his fears.

Do not know why but although he seemed competitive in the beginning, Sungjae backed down and chose to lessen the tension by butting in the 2nd verse. Lsg was very focused to get those high notes while Sj was not. I hope it is for variety purpose and not because lack of confidence. Sungjae has good techniques and singing is not all about going high (esp with a baritone). He definitely needs more training though ))) We Melody always hope they can enhance in music.
actually sungjae is average main vocal level for kpop or even above that. I think his technique is quite good. I dont want to make comparisons, but his technique is better than youngjae and jb of got7, v and jk of bts, taeyang of bigbang.
He is using good vocal technique, so his face wont be damaged, like others who strain.
He is actually the third best vocal in btob after changsub. I think he is really good, coming from a classically trained vocalist myself

Yep. Sungjae avoided trying altogether in a dorky way as usual haha... He is being his usual shy self. Perhaps he is not better than Seunggi as Seunggi is the seasoned singer here, but he won't be dissapointing either. I think Sungjae tried to be polite. He did not want to be in a competition with his sunbae in a serious field (as they are both singers). Reminded me of the dance test as well. We all know how good he is in dancing, but it's seunggi and sangyoon who had to compete for the center position in the end.

I love Seung Gi and I like his little brother Sungjae. They are close friends.
People, please stop comparing Sungjae with Seunggi. You keep on discounting Sungjae as a singer. Sure, Seunggi is a great singer but so is Sungjae. Seunggi might have better vocal techniques but these are built over time and constant practice. Remember that Sungjae is many years younger than Seunggi, so of course he still has a lot to learn technique wise. And if you compare Sungjae with his past self when he just debuted, his improvement is huge! And honestly, I think that there are songs which he actually sings better than Seunggi, those in the Trot genre for example and songs where he sings in his lower register. He is a baritone so songs with a lower key showcase his voice better. Moreover, I think his voice is more soulful and expressive than Seunggi's. So yes, Seunggi might be the more seasoned singer but Sungjae's voice is the one that can touch me emotionally.

Seunggi debut in 2004 as a soloist after all while Sungjae debut in 2012 as a sub vocal-visual line. Sungjae wasn't even trying here, he did sing for variety show purpose only. I have been melody for a while when I watched this. I really love Sungjae, he is my bias in BTOB. When I watched this I didn’t know Seunggi yet but I could tell that he is better than Sungjae idk how to say this, his voice is just flawless and he looked like someone with long experience in doing this. Now after few months I am Seunggi fan as well and after listening to most of his songs more than once I can honestly tell that he isn’t called Ballad King/Prince for no reason. I love them both but if I have to choose who is better singer I would choose Seunggi. Sungjae is also really good but he still has got long way to go.
