Great ploughs those old KVs. LB models arnt auto rest, the 160 is the HP rating for the head stock, the 85 is the spacing between the legs. It looks like its on number 8 mould boards which are best suited for tyres upto 480, i might be wrong but looks like you might be on 520s which is why its not matching up perfect because the rear tyre will be flattening the last furrow slightly. But all in all its looks a decent job
Its so cool that norway makes the best plows. Kvernelands🤩🤩 its from my home place aswell🤩. But we gotta have them rock solid. Well norway is all stone😅. Nice video🤩🤩
That's the plough, if you don't love it already, you will by the end of the season, and you'll wonder how ever you managed without one. Kverneland LD85 with hydraulic vari-width is about as good as it gets.
@@DANFORTHPAPE1 I have covered hundreds if not thousand of acres with various incarnations of LD85s behind various tractors, from JD3350, MF3085 up to modern Kubotas, MF and Fendts. Simple and quick to maintain and change the metal, and it's easy to make a bad ploughman such as myself look good. I just prefer Kverneland to Lemken, Besson, and Rabe. Can't say I have used many others outside this selection. But it's my opinion.
Nice to see some soil being turned, the KV is a super plough, shame the FF wasn't quite there, looking forward to seeing it in the Autumn with, hopefully, some drier soil.
Nice plough just keep a eye on the headstock had a 160 like yours snap on the turnover casting lucky was in the field and had just turned it over and bang was on the floor in the process bending the turnover ram lucky was not traveling on the road
Was watching chickanicks and was saying one of the best things to save money on repears was to put a fule cut off switch on your lawnmower etc . When u are not going to use for a while turn of the tap and run it tell it stops . She said it saves alot of problems
Best ploughs kv we had a five furrow ld85 vari width pulled it behind our 6270 full set off weights on front was a tad light on the front on the headland but pulled it very well and with one moor furrow than the Dowdeswell it replaced recon wasn't much difference in pulling
Hi Dan 160= the headstock is rated at 160 hp And the 85 is the leg length 85 cm Very good ploughs, the skimmers are a bit awkward to adjust but not too bad.
Generally very good ploughs, the one I use to use had no'28? boards on it and it was pulled behind a ghastly tractor (it wasn't the Massey 7495 but something worse and he hide away when I was coming) he used to get their wearing parts from Spaldings,🙂👍
Been a Dowdeswell man all my life, until I tried a KV. No other plough seems to turn the soil over so well as a KV. I reckon 16” is the perfect width for them.
I’m starting to think you’ve won the lottery with all this “new” gear you’ve bought!😉. Glad it’s making a good job, even better if you can get through the work quicker 😁
Hi Dan, congratulations. Kverneland is a very good plough. Well constructed and stabil. It looks like the first forrow goes to small. Farm on, Andreas

Good vid Dan Ferguson power 👌👌👌👌
Seems like a damn good purchase there Dan 🤔 nice to hear the little Massey could handle it when needed 💪 good video 👍
When did 130 hp become little?
When it's smaller than one supposed to be used for the job
Good Norwegian quality🙂

I am sure it will serve you well young man.
Well well Lord Dingle is still in the land of the living.
Bloody hectares, what’s wrong with acres that were all familiar with?
