Nice, I like a lot of those on your list. I liked PL new album, but not as much as The Plague Within. I saw Overkill and Havoc with Crowbar not too long ago, that was a pretty badass show. They all kicked ass live of course. I'm glad to see Sorcerer on other lists too, they definitely deserve it.
Thanks a lot! And I barely just started the youtube thing so no one knows of Violence Underground. Thanks for watching and yea, those albums all kick major ass. It was a great year for death and thrash, my two favorites.
Ex Deo is 18th on my top 20 list. My this year's top 20 is as follows: 1. Accept - The Rise of Chaos 2. Kreator - Gods of Violence 3. Iced Earth - Incorruptible 4. Wintersun - The Forest Season 5. God Dethroned - The World Ablaze 6. Argus - From Fields of Fire 7. Ram - Rod 8. Sons of Apollo - Psychotic Symphony 9. Walpyrgus - Walpyrgus Nights 10. Ordos - House of the Dead 11. Overoth - The Forgotten Tome 18. Ex Deo - The Immortal Wars 19. Amken - Theater of the Absurd 20. Possession - Exorkizein
I love Power Trip. I don't understand their general fan base though. Thrash fans aside they've always drawn a bunch of hardcore kids who ONLY listen to them for whatever reason.
Power Trip has a lot of crossover elements in their music which is why people that enjoy hardcore also like their stuff. That, and Power Trip is badass and gained an incredible amount of attention after Nightmare Logic. They've also toured with lots of hardcore bands and bands from that scene like Xibalba, Bane, Turnstile, Iron Reagan, Terror, Harm's Way, Madball, Hatebreed and more.
Haha, well I guess you can say the whole Sorcerer catalog is a tribute to that as well as Rainbow and Candlemass. Those three bands are our biggest influences by far.
Just came across your channel and subbed. I'm also into Metal and Horror. Will have to check out Timewalk, Lich King, Temple of Void and Galatikon, as I liked what I heard. Warbringer are awesome. Love Power Trip, it made #2 on my list.
Power Trip released one hell of an album this year, they're getting all the love. Great list man! It's good to see other metal and horror content creators out there, thanks for the support!
Thanks a lot man and that really depends on what you like in a band. I suppose I would suggest Temple fo Knowledge for their early, straight death metal stuff. They had a different singer one that album as well while Maurizio was bass and backing vocals. Shadows and Dust is a pretty Epic mid year Kataklysm album where they had Maurizio on vocals and they had pretty melodic death metal riffing going on, probably my favorite by them. Then for more modern Kataklysm, I would suggest Waiting for the end to come. Polished, well produced, Melodeath with some pretty sweet songs. I'm not super into newer Kataklysm, but this album stood out to me as being one of their best efforts in recent years. Hope this helped!
Violence Underground thanks! I haven't heard of any of the bands/albums on your list except Power Trip and Warbringer so I'm going to check them out today!
Good list! Totally agree on Lich King, that album absolutely slays. Like the Warbringer selection as well. And well, yeah, completely on board with "Nightmare Logic" too..... Dang, I still haven't listened to "Caligvla", haha. I need to check out both albums as "Romulus" was fantastic.... Fun video. Subbed. Thanks!
Sounds like you enjoy thrash as well! I tried to not let it dominate my list, but there was just so much great thrash this year. Romulus is an amazing album too. Caligula kills and so does the immortal wars. Glad you liked the video man, thanks for the support!

Violence Underground yea I saw them on a tour with Madball and then later on with Harms Way. They've found a good niche. The new album is awesome.
Thanks a lot man! Kristian/SORCERER
Kristian Niemann I love Sorcerer album was the devils incubus a tribute to Black Sabbath Headless Cross/Cross Purose era?
