    I gambled for 3 years before I stumbled onto the ACG video w/ Shackleford...its what turned from slot to VP player(with sum craps/b'Jack thrown in ther). Now, even when I hav a bad session, I'm a "happier loser" knowing I had a say in my chance to win....thnx guys! Luv the channel....

    Great video. Confirmed a lot of things that I thought were true and I'm going to join the Gold membership because of that confirmation. Thanks guys.

    Great interview! Action Gaming find great ways to enhance the video poker experience! Super Times Pay, Ultimate X and Extra Draw Frenzy are some of the variants the Jackpot Gents play regularly.

    Shout out to all the video poker players out there. What a fun and rewarding game to play at a casino.

    Thanks Gents. I understand the player can learn perfect strategy and maximise their EV on each hand. What I'm struggling to understand is why someone would invest the time & (small) cost in learning perfect play when at the end of the day the player is still expected to get less than 100% of their coin-in. Is it purely to benefit from comps, the fun factor of playing the game?

      The idea isn't to try and make a living at casinos. People go to a casino to have fun and the vast majority of them end up as losers. Especially, when they are playing slot machines that have a casino advantage as high as 15%. By leaning to play video poker properly, you easily play a game that has a casino advantage of around 2%-3%. Therefore, the cost of your "fun" experience is much lower. And, if you can find games with good pay tables, you might be able to play a break-even game, especially if you take advantage of the casino comp system and only play on days that have good promotions such as point multipliers.

      I did invest in it I bought the pro version and it’s great I love it and compared to other things I spend my money on that’s nothing and last time I went to the casino and tested my skills I did pretty good on the 50cent coin denom and lasted way longer with my bank roll compared to slots I didn’t get a royal flush but it’s a matter of time

    And of course this is about class 3 video poker games. Class 2 are just slot machines with cards in place of the symbols there's no skill involved.

      how do you now if a place is using class 2?

    • @TheJackpotGents
      @TheJackpotGents  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@userac-xpg Well there's a few kinds of class 2 ends of class 2. If it is bingo based class 2 then you will then you will see a bingo card somewhere on it we're on it generally in one of the corners of the screen

    • @TheJackpotGents
      @TheJackpotGents  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@userac-xpg There is a second type called historical horse racing and we have never seen those in person but I believe there is something similar to the bingo card in one of the corners

    I thought Bob Dancer invented video poker

      Si Redd invented video poker in 1975 while working for Bally. Shortly after, he started a company named SIRCOMA (Si Redd Coin Op Company) when Bally wasn't interested in his idea. SIRCOMA evolved into IGT in 1981. The rest is history.

    Beware of level 2 video poker machines they don’t deal fairly!

    That's great to know but a fact you may not know if you play video poker you do not get rated as good as for comps and you do not make as many points towards status and free play it also takes a lot more of money through a video poker machine then it does a slot machine to make comps on your card I know I'm a video poker player I've been playing video poker longer than both of you

    • @JBlinky67

      That's true. Once in a while though, you find a place that has the same points as slots. There's one near me. Every other place around me is 2 dollars per point as opposed to the 1 dollar per point slots.

      That's true Scott. That's why I like to use my free play to play video poker instead of using it on the slots.

      Sure but why are you playing for comps? Would you rather lose 10% of your money and get 4% of it back on comps or 2% back and get zero comps? It reminds me of my coworker whose husband loves to play roulette, and gets tons of comps. I remind her he is playing a high margin game so of course he is getting tons of perks, but not relative to the amount he is losing!

    Once again, Matt interrupted his father and actually provided incorrect information.9/6 Jacks or Better is not the best version of this particular game. 9/6/90 is the best version of Jacks or Better (although very difficult to find). Also, 8/5/35 Bonus Poker, which actually is a version of Jacks or Better is a superior game to 9/6. Back in the day, I played 9/6/90 at Laughlin, South Point, and Wynn Las Vegas. Currently, I play dollar 8/5/35 BP at a property that I choose not to disclosure.

      what are you talking about 9/6/90 never heard of that before

      According to VPFree2 there are zero 9/6/90 machines out there. 8/5/35 bonus does exist in about a dozen places.
