Was in Poland . Wondeful place. Main thing is high european quality of service with low price fe in London u would pay 6 time more. Lovely girls i liked Krakow a lot . Cheers
You went to one of the most amazing castles in the entire world, and more than half of the video is about food served outside the castle with only a few words about what's actually inside? I think you seriously failed to appreciate its magnificence.
Just small advise for people who will go to Malbork castle is worth to take headphones guide . It can cause some extra money but believe me u wont regret it. the tour is not simple but everything is with medieval music, noises of living at the castle and even some other voices of medieval people during their job !
ahhh you answered :D! I was visiting my In-laws mostly Legnica and Wrocław area also Zamek książ and the Palmhouse in Wałbrzych (that was really cool). Next time we will go to more places hopefully :)
Spinach and Feta perogies. Very traditional LOL. But still looked delicious. Plus I have been to Malbork and it amazing. Worth coming to from anywhere in Poland.
Great to see the castle in the sun and alive with people. I visited on March 13th (2020) and found myself eating in a deserted vaulted restaurant inside the castle which supposedly was closed, but wasn't completely thankfully as the food was delicious..
That look like perogies I'd like to eat. Mmmm!!! I need to start watching these videos Before or at dinner. If not I end up eating again. My goodness do I ever love food.
Very nice vlog again :) I was twice in Malbork and I remember this castle very well. It's so huge and the view from the another side of river is epic. Btw, this size of sausages is common in Poland. We have sausages in different sizes, shapes and of course there are a lot of ways of making sausages. Coming back to size, I think there are two main sizes of sausages in Poland. This one which you got and also half smaller :)
The so-called beer revolution is very strong in Poland and the country is certainly one of the best destinations if you are a beer amateur :) BTW Your pronounciation of Polish names improoved a lot during the whole journey. You should consider learning the language! :D
Daniel W It was not “destroyed”, it was damaged. More precisely, about half was severely damaged. Warsaw castle was destroyed as outside of a fragment of one wall nothing was left standing.
Have you seen the historical toilets? :D i think you would have more fun/information with someone explaining for example holes in the walls comming from bullets during the war etc.
Mat Rp not necessarily , tomato purée gives brown colour but it's not a must have in every recipe 😊 some people don't use it that's why it's a bit lighter colour.
Kamila Danek The bigos was undercooked, almost raw cabbage. And who adds passata to bigos? The brown colour is from meat and mushrooms, cooked for a few hours. Adding tomatos is some abomination, and it would give red color, not brown.
It is rather a substitute for the real Bigos. You have to try the homemade stew which is simmered for a few days with the addition of various types of meat and if someone has venison too. Bigos was from the Middle Ages a snack of the Polish nobility and the king during hunting on cold days, served hot. :) It is made at home for family celebrations and until today it is served after hunting hunts.
The Teutonic Knights murdered hundreds of thousands of the original native Prussians and their villages and towns were burned to the ground. So Germans were extremely lucky in 1945 when compared to this.
@Oricand Yes we all know that Order was very peaceful...like them raiding Lithuania or taking land from Poland like Dobrzyń or Chełmno region. Thirteen Years War 1454-1466 during which we captured Western Prussia started because Prussian merchants invited Polish King Kazimierz to rule them and to end Order's tyranny. Look that up.
About to go to gdansk so watched your videos there for ideas Cheers from Ireland Ps.how much does Samuel look like a guy that gets killed off first in a horror movie 😂😂😂😂 hostel type
Rz is hardest sound, just like czech r with v on top, r plus ž or s in treasure. Szczw brzeczyszcziego , lots of tongue twisters. Lucky my boyfriend speaks english haha. How is złoty to dollars?
Friends I know pierogi are delicious but guys lets try other Polish famous dishes :) like "gołąbki" - literally little pigeon its a baked rice with meat in a cabbage leaf (not pigeon meat xD) "placki ziemniaczane or placki po węgierku" - its a potatoe pancake (2ns option with a gulash)
You bought a bad train ticket. Malbork is located near Gdansk, you had to buy a ticket for a long-distance train. Instead of paying PLN 110, you would pay PLN 60.
It's fine i watched all your Polish Visit videos and i really hope you liked it and if you'll come back to Poland go to Wiliczka salt mine or Mazury in the summer place with 2,000 lakes.
This sausage from 3:44 reminds me głogowską sausage from Morliny (a company producing different sausages) adverts: th-cam.com/video/v6bbMWIfET8/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/-jvr5f3bKa4/w-d-xo.html etc - if you want to laugh just look for them on YT :)

Thanks Jonathan! I wonder if that was the last day it was open.

That sausage was massive haha Ever since I visited Berlin I've really been addicted to Sauerkraut!

Most of the bricks used to build the castle were purchased by the Teutonic Order in Holland and transported by sea to Malbork.
NewMaroPop the castle was destroyed during the second world war and it was rebuilt afterwards
Daniel W It was not “destroyed”, it was damaged. More precisely, about half was severely damaged. Warsaw castle was destroyed as outside of a fragment of one wall nothing was left standing.
Beautiful and very interesting content
Great video just visited Malbork week ago was great

Nice pictures from Marienburg Castle. Some information on the history would have been nice.
We could have done a better job with that.
I miss this I’m going on holidays there
That is really cool to hear!~
It was not typical bigos ^^ medieval version. Homemade bigos contains a lot of meat; beef, sausages or bacon :)
Ah, thanks for letting us know about that.
palec w górę za POLSKICH MĘŻCZYZN !)))))) my też CIĘ kochamy )))))

Are you planning to be there?
Thank you! Hope you can visit soon. Ah, we didn't get to visit there this time around.
video quality is awesome what camera u using?
Thank you! We use a Panasonic GH5.
This bigos is seriously undercooked, it should look a lot more brown.
Ah, that is good to know!
It was early :D It looked more like sauerkraut for kielbasa, German style - nice too! :)
Mat Rp not necessarily , tomato purée gives brown colour but it's not a must have in every recipe 😊 some people don't use it that's why it's a bit lighter colour.
It didnt look like bigos to begin with. We call this kapusta na goraco
Kamila Danek The bigos was undercooked, almost raw cabbage. And who adds passata to bigos? The brown colour is from meat and mushrooms, cooked for a few hours. Adding tomatos is some abomination, and it would give red color, not brown.
do you guys on this channel go to cool places all the time, ?
Thanks! We try to visit interesting places when we can.

Friends
I know pierogi are delicious but guys lets try other Polish famous dishes :)

"placki ziemniaczane or placki po węgierku" - its a potatoe pancake (2ns option with a gulash)
Thanks for sharing that with us!
It wasn't Bigos!!! ;) It was Kapusta Kiszona gotowana. It was boiled Sauerkraut ( cabbage that has been fermented) Anyway, very tasty ;)
How do you guys stay thin? I guess it's a Canadian thing.
Audrey is much better than me! Portion control.
a very good, informing video. The question remains, how come you're not fat? You enjoyed all this food, I'm glad you did.
Notice how they share meals instead each gets a plateful. Audrey eats very little too, I think
Thanks, we try to share things sometimes :)
Ah, sharing is definitely one of our strategies ;)
This video made me hungry.
I wish we could share!
You bought a bad train ticket. Malbork is located near Gdansk, you had to buy a ticket for a long-distance train. Instead of paying PLN 110, you would pay PLN 60.

This wasn't bigos it's a side order of sauerkraut for sousage
Oh, our bad.

CAT FRIENDS!
We love our cat friends :)
From where is that obsession about Poland?
Obsession? Well, we enjoyed vsiiting but I wouldn't say we were obsessed.
