Racer X Films: Washougal 125 Dream Race

- On Saturday, at Round 9 of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship from Washougal, a special 125 invitational race was held during the event. Former pros such as Ivan Tedesco, Ryan Huffman, Racer X's David Pingree and Jason Thomas, as well as current pro Josh Hansen and a host of riders from around the industry were invited to compete. Amateur Carson Brown took the win over Tedesco and Pingree. Watch the entire race from Ping's perspective.

I'm impressed as I'm sure is everyone, Ping can still haul the mail!! I van is no slouch and Ping kept him sight and even almost showed him a wheel!! Go Ping, way to represent us old dudes!! They should invite James and RC to one of these races.

These riders turned off the throttle all the way round every corner on the track.
In a straight line all brands are the same.
They rolled around every corner with NO load on the suspension.
They have NO control over the bike around every corner. They're a danger to themselves and all people at the track.

The AMA never banned 2 strokes. You can still run a 250 2 stroke in the 450 class, or a 125 in the 250 class, if you choose. The 4 strokes are so powerful nowadays that a 2 stroke can't really compete to the extent they need to. If you watch the races, every once in a while you hear a privateer on a 2 stroke.

Everyone's talking about Pingree and Tedesco killing it, but Carson Brown was so far ahead you couldn't even see him on the GoPro..!
he is a kid that rides them at local races. plus 17. vs ping that works in a buildfing at racer x. and just does test on 4 strokes for the mag. ping is at least 40 or very very close. or maby over 40. he kept ivan in check. seeing that they never really raced together when they were pro . ivan won 450 mains. or 250 s stroke mains against mcgrath. and ping kept up with him , even was very close at one point. im sure he got tired. but i a happy for u ping

Really looking fwd to the 18 All Stars series, (shame it’s no longer called the Dream Race series) but maybe that’s a good thing to continue the march back to 2t classes at all levels.

They didn't experience any corner on the track. They just rolled through every corner and started to race when they got to the straight parts.

Awesome video, for me they kinda killed the sport whith the switch to four stroke stuff. The sounds of screaming factory 125 machines on a National Championship track like Washougal was simply unreal!!! Not the same experience now

I think he would have won for sure. Carson is super fast. He rides a 125... Most these dudes like Ivan haven't ridden 125's in years. Kids super fast for sure though.
