I went to Crawley Surplus on the back of these videos and ended up buying a Katran off of Dan who spent an hour with me. Great shop, good prices and excellent service. I’ll more likely than not be spending another couple of grand in here in the not too distant future…. Thanks Paul 😂
Having had the ranger I wouldn’t have another one . Loads of problems with full port leaking when filling eventually got a replacement gun but moved it on as quick as I could .

The Katrans are special, not in the least pellet fussy and mine shoot .177 sub 12 slugs really well too- very light to carry and adjustable on all directions

Yes it's the smart thing to do trading in/selling unused guns, but I just hate doing it (I really should do I've got hundreds), I've still got the first air rifle gun my dad ever bought me a BSA Meteor Super back when I was 11 in 1980, (thou it's completely worn out as I put close to a million pellets through it in about 6 years) so I bought a mint condition second hand exact same model, just so I could still shoot the familiar feeling air rifle.
Should have kept the HW 77 laminate and possibly the Regal! I prefer the Katran though, I’m considering purchasing the Daystate Red Wolf FT on special order so need to sell some of my collection just to fund it! Good vid Paul, maybe do a home review on your new purchases and tell us which one you prefer.
Went there last Thursday, what a great shop and very welcoming staff looking to buy a rifle, I have Hand pistols Colt 1911 and Webly tempest, 177, Colt 1911 is Co2 and cocking piston for the Webly. What an amazing Lads adult toy shop lol. 😮 we need more shops like this around the country. Thanks to the guys near Three Bridges station. Great shop.
I’ve got the Brocock Ranger..brilliant little rifle.. fits in the cargo box on the back of my e-bike in its bag with my Border Terrier sat on the top ( how discreet is that 😆👍).. I love it ..squirrels hate 👍
I have a katran and its a spectacularly accurate gun,....i also have the Diana 54 airking pro,...and it is a heavy gun,....sounds like a rimfire when you shoot it!!! Got all my guns from Daniel and the guys at Crawley surplus,.....hi guys!
Lovely Guns Paul, but if I’m honest I would’ve kept the ones that I am trading they are just stunning as opposed to the ones that you’re buying I would’ve kept the HW 77 laminate that thing is a real piece of beauty and the history that surrounds the HW 77 with different variance in Stocks going through the decades from Mac, one Mac two Mac three , I can only compare this to the James Cameron Rolex from the 11660 to the 12660 and the 13660. That’s how many variance the 77 has gone through throughout the decades. an laminate version I believe is discontinued so slowly slowly it would just appreciate overtime. You should’ve kept that one pal it’s vintage

Love your videos, your very similar to me. All your guns are in fab condition. I know you said which one you should have kept, But here is 3. Keeper 1 is the FX, keeper 2 Huntsman, keeper 3 HW 77. if you had to choose which to buy from the 2 guns, I would go for the Katran. Brocock Ranger Xr is a cracking rifle just the low shot count that rules it out for me I'd have went with the Pathfinder for the bigger shot count. That Daystate had a beautiful stock on it I would have kept that one
Wow what a credit to the sport absolutely stunning air rifles. My fav has got to be the hw 100kt in 177 and a massive fan of brocock stuff as I feel they are really underrated as a company.
I would love something like this..but coming from N.Ireland I don’t know if you could purchase something like a air rifle. Probably need a license. Do you need a license on the UK mainland?

Hello Guys, I would of kept the Tactical HW 100, I have one and it`s the most accurate gun I`ve ever had, I`ve had about x 20 overall, but at only 5`6" for me it`s still a little bit too long to stand up and shoot, I`m now looking at one of those you fold, But I want to shoot at over 100 yards, Not one that shoots s stupid Distance that I could probably throw a stick at, I like Both of what you now have. I see many guys in the gun shop look and hold Beautiful guns Standing to hold it and It`s lowered pretty rapidly Not realising the Length , then they start looking for something to Rest It.
You can have real Guns in the UK. I have 3 Marlins in 45/70 38/357 & 44mag the 45/70 has a moderator, which is a real pain in the USA to get on your licence. I also own an Accuracy International in 6.5 Creedmoor also with a Moderator, too many guns to mention, if you belong to an appropriate shooting club you can have what you like.
Trouble is, appropriate shooting clubs are as rare as hens teeth! I used to have an RFD but the hasstle was more than it was worth. I still have shotguns but firearms are a nightmare. And no pistols either. Unless you want a coat hanger attached to the grip!

I could not have given up the HW77 it is beautiful. Wouldn’t have bought either of the new ones, a bit soulless. I do like the Brocock Ghost not sure about the Ranger. But enjoy!

Got brocock xr from Dan year ago not best quality like me m3 or Styer x pro but prefer shooting the brocock convenient and accurate love it
