    Just did this. It took me three 10-hour days. Saturday alone was spent removing a broken sway bar bolt… you see, you forgot to include a disclaimer mentioning that Minnesota cars might take a bit longer! 😅
    Anyway, thanks for making the video. It was super helpful!!

    From one who makes TH-cam videos, this is really well done. I love the after 'bounce' test.

    I just came from a garage that told me that I had to go with OEM front struts because of the electric components that are attached to the top after watching your video you say that I don't even need that bracket or those electronic components thank God for your videos ❤❤

    Would it be the same if you installed Eibach Pro Coilovers?

    • @lexus_offroad_adventures
      @lexus_offroad_adventures  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It would be the same but it would be more difficult to get the new coils in without removing the tie rod end. You can also remove the lower control arm bolts on the knuckle side to give you more room but I was able to get away with just the UCA and Tie rod. I have a video somewhere. Definitely recommend two people for the install step. It’s a pain if you’re at the 3rd setting on the eibach kit

    How does the Strutmasters ride quality compare to the Eibach?

    • @lexus_offroad_adventures
      @lexus_offroad_adventures  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Two totally different solutions for different setups. The strutmasters are for OEM replacement suspension (stock height, compliant ride) and the Eibach pro truck series is a lift system (off-road focused, firmer ride). The eibach kit does great for off road performance for not a ton of money. But if you’re not looking for a lift; these strutmasters have been great for an OEM replacement. We love this stock-height GX just as much as my off road GX, but for different reasons.

  • @Moondoggy1941
    @Moondoggy1941 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

    So the rear stock GX has an air lift suspension, but the front is that static or does it move as well?

    • @lexus_offroad_adventures
      @lexus_offroad_adventures  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@Moondoggy1941 front has variable damping force (adjusts compression/rebound with electronic control) but no height increase/decrease. Only the rear has a height control because of the air springs. Rear also has the electronically controlled damping from stock.

    • @lexus_offroad_adventures
      @lexus_offroad_adventures  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! I never personally had that issue. Could be worn suspension components so re-check for lean after your install. I imagine the spring rates on the left side would account for the weight of the tank but am not sure. If it doesn’t, try something like these lean correction spacers: exitoffroad.com/product/front-and-rear-lean-correction-spacers/

    Once the the front and rear are both installed, what height would you recommend for a front end leveling kit?

    • @lexus_offroad_adventures
      @lexus_offroad_adventures  ปีที่แล้ว

      Like a spacer lift? I don’t have any experience with those kits so I can’t really make any recommendations there. I do know that, If you put a 1” lift up front on Toyota IFS, it works out to about 2” of lift, so factor that into your measurements. So if there’s a 1” difference between front and rear, and you want to be level, it would be a 1/2” front lift spacer for example.

      I make my own espresso with Italian coffee beans most of the time.
      Is Melbourne known for its coffee? I didn’t know that. (Would be great to head down under to Melbourne for the F1 race someday, Oz is the last continent I need to travel to before I hit all 7)
