For Casper while you groom him you should get a lick mat that can stick to the wall in front of him. Fill it with stuff he can lick off while grooming and he will learn to associate grooming with positive things and learn to stand at the same time
Casper is doing so well with "leave it"! When we taught our dog not to touch things, she'd stare at it as though she could use her mind to make it come to her.
I was gasping when Daphne was rejecting, head butting, and biting one of her own. Yikes! ..... But I'm so glad the situation is fixed. Your little runt of the pack is so, so ADORABLE!!! He's melting my heart!!! 🤗👍❤️
I'm so glad you picked up on Daphnes pain. One can only imagine what it's like having 2 try to come out at once on top of having 5 all together. Good to see her responding well to the pain relief.
For Hazel's babies The broken buckskin (pretty sure that's the one that looks like Hazel) Macadamia! (Mia for short) And for the little brown one, Nutella!
Wasn't expecting a video today but it is a very pleasant surprise :) Also for names, you could name the one with moon spots Beam (like moon beam),the cow one Bessie, and the last one Bud
i like those but please name the boy Morgana i like the girls though but please Morgana its like its meant to be they are both black and white with blue eyes
I am so impressed how the plan you made of spacing out the births is actually working so well. It is fascinating to see the mama drama and how you are dealing with it. Genius move giving the mom the pain meds so help calm her down. This is so fun to watch. Thanks a bunch.
From a pet standpoint that is logical, from a breeding herd standpoint it doesn't make sense unless his genetics says he should stay. Almost every breeding has an adorable baby, but you cannot keep them all as pets.
I don’t think they will since they don’t have a reason to keep it. They’re not going to keep him as a buck since he’s a runt and they don’t need to keep him as a companion goat
What others have said, it doesn't make sense from a breeding standpoint to keep Newt. However, if Newt stays as sweet and friendly as he is while he grows, he could become a very good pet goat for someone or possibly even a therapy goat if he has the right personality and mind for it.
Watching it, I was almost wondering if there was something underlying wrong with that doeling, and that’s why Daphne was acting that way towards it. Goats can sense when something is wrong with their babies, and will reject a kid sometimes. Even if it’s an invisible issue to humans. But I am glad that Daphne is doing better, and accepting it. Hope the rest of your deliveries go smoothly. Stay awesome. ❤️
What iris5678 said. When sheep and goats have difficult births and are in pain, much like Daphne was, they will often associate their babies with that pain and as a result reject them. Sometimes helping them control the pain causes them to stop and accept their baby again, like in Daphne's case, and sometimes they simply will not accept them again. Generally if you see them letting the baby nurse after administering pain meds it means that the momma and baby will be fine together. It's not always that something is wrong with the baby.
I am so happy after reading these comments that I’m not the only one. I have always known everyone’s names and yet they seem to just forget I’m there. My life has always been this but I’m so happy I’m not the only one going through this!
Hazel’s doelings are literally the cutest things ever 😍!!! Looking forward to seeing that Daphne’s doeling unravel, bless her. She’s so sweet and I’m glad she’s doing ok!!
Good job puppy! "Leave it" is such an important command, and he did great! Poor Daphne, that doeling looks like an aggressive feeder, and all that butting must have hurt. Pain meds was the perfect call for her. Such pretty babies, so well built. I'm glad Newt is picking up weight too, he's precious! ❤️
All of the babies are so adorable!! You guys inspired me to get into raising Nigerian Dwarf Goats last year, I currently have 6 and cannot wait for them to kid within the next few months. This channel has been so educational and it makes me a little less nervous about kidding season on our small farm!
I got 2 Nigerian/mini Nubians last year and just got the little brother and sister to them 2 weeks ago. I would like to breed my does eventually but not quite confident enough in case delivery went south.
This channel has inspired me as well although I haven't purchased any goats yet... I hope to within the next year or 2... I have a cousin that breeds and I'd like to get one from her, one from Danelle, and one from Crystal but I want to start with some chickens first.
Hazels little white doe is extremely stunning I love the coat and it was kind of sad that Daphne was fighting off one of her babies my heart just dropped when she was slamming it into the wall I’m happy she is starting to be nice again
Still praying for little Newt! May he grow, and become big, strong, and healthy. He will make an excellent pet someday. May he be kind and affectionate all his days, and be a blessing to everyone who sees and takes care of him.
Wow that was a little tense situation with Daphne. It was good to see that things seem to be going well now. 👏🏻❤ Newt is a cutie. That is interesting about the stomach bacteria
Watching Daphne headbutt her baby was hard but you're handling this mama so well I'm sure she's already feeling good about her three babies. Hope Newt grows bigger and stronger so he can be outside with the other bucklings soon.
Hello, Well, that was a close one, Daphne was just hurting and stressed. Thank goodness, all she needed was some pain relief. You guys take so much time and care for your goats, it's awesome. See you in the next video and thank you for sharing.
You two are such good parents to all your babies. I enjoy watching you both interact with them. My first three Nigerian Dwarf does freshened one a day for the last 3 days. Two sets of twins and a single - all doelins! Hopefully we continue to see a doelin year!
Puppies are tough to train because it can take a lot of time, patience and consistency but it is so worth it. He's so little and he's already learning. He did so good with the 'leave it' command. ❤️
Yay, Newt! He is so adorable. I know you will keep an eye on Daphnie. Natural instinct in animals is so interest and many times heartbreaking. Your farm is so filled with love and a joy to watch. Love and light from California. xoxo
So baby goats are born with the color of eyes they are going to have for life? Sending so many congratulations to you and your urban goat farm babies! I am loving this kidding season (other than the losses and rejections. Those make me sad but I also understand it is what it is when raising livestock.) You guys are the bestest ever goat breeders/family! 🥰❤ ( I hope you all get some much needed sleep soon!)
I seriously gulped watching Daphne being mean with her baby. Very good call on giving her pain meds. I love lil’ Newt!!❤❤ You guys are a good momma, he’ll do fine!
I almost cried when Daphne was rejecting her baby. Thank God she came around. I would have been heartbroken. Praying she continues to accept all her babies.
Hi Danelle , I am glad to see that the kids and the doe’s are doing so well and they are getting stronger every day . The wee buckling Newt is really coming along nicely with all the attention you have been giving him . I really love flower and tree names especially girls names : Poppy , Iris , Daffodil , Lily , Rose , Maple, Fleur, Aster , Bryony , Jasmine , boys names : Ash , Bruce , Adair , Cullen ,Koa , Lindley , Rowan , Birk , Jarrah . I hope these suggestions may be helpful cheers from Australia 🇦🇺
I’m so excited that Daphne took her baby back. I agree with you Danelle, she was probably very stressed wondering how she was going to take care of three babies! This is such a testament to how critical you are with breeding only great goats and putting an emphasis on great personalities as well as the milking and show qualities. This was such a great video, and is so awesome to see how great Casper is going with training, and Newt getting bigger!! Much love to you guys from us here in Oklahoma 💗💗💗

Fingers crossed Daphne continues to accept all of her babies. Watching her be mean to the one was really stressful!
It really was!
If she doesn't accept her kid, it can be Newt's new little friend!
But i hope she doesn't unaccept her kid!
Yesss it was giving me anxiety
I pray for the best
It broke my heart to see that with Daphne! Poor baby.
For Casper while you groom him you should get a lick mat that can stick to the wall in front of him. Fill it with stuff he can lick off while grooming and he will learn to associate grooming with positive things and learn to stand at the same time
To add, freezing them makes the enrichment last longer too (it's also great for hot days)
Thats a smart idea
My favorite part is Danielle’s “Kevin!!!” Every time something happens😂😂 you can tell she loves him lmfaoo
Casper is doing so well with "leave it"! When we taught our dog not to touch things, she'd stare at it as though she could use her mind to make it come to her.
I had to giggle at this, my dog does the same thing 🤣
I was gasping when Daphne was rejecting, head butting, and biting one of her own. Yikes!
..... But I'm so glad the situation is fixed.
Your little runt of the pack is so, so ADORABLE!!!
He's melting my heart!!! 🤗👍❤️
Omg I tots love him
I'm so glad you picked up on Daphnes pain. One can only imagine what it's like having 2 try to come out at once on top of having 5 all together. Good to see her responding well to the pain relief.
im glad that she took back the red one
Kevin snuggling the babies when you're giving them selenium is relationship goals.
"You were perfect!" Kevin knows happy wife is a happy life. So, Kevin, build her that extra barn space 😁
For Hazel's babies
The broken buckskin (pretty sure that's the one that looks like Hazel)
Macadamia! (Mia for short)
And for the little brown one, Nutella!
Nutella - Ella for short :D
THESE ARE CUTE NAMES!! I love them!!
I looveee these names
Cute, good ideas!
Those would be great but Danelle has said before that she won’t use food names unfortunately
Newt is the cutest thing I’ve ever seen, he’s Avery lucky goat to come to this world ❤️🐐🐐
He's going to be a Weed Em And Reap star!
@@not2tees I know right 😀
I bet they could sell t-shirts with him on it haha! He's so tiny and cute!
He's the cutest and tiniest
Wasn't expecting a video today but it is a very pleasant surprise :) Also for names, you could name the one with moon spots Beam (like moon beam),the cow one Bessie, and the last one Bud
Lol I said Elsie for the cow.
I love these names!!!
i like those but please name the boy Morgana i like the girls though but please Morgana its like its meant to be they are both black and white with blue eyes
@@EmpathBonz i like that

If newt survives through all of this, you gotta keep him. He’s flipping adorable. ❤
From a pet standpoint that is logical, from a breeding herd standpoint it doesn't make sense unless his genetics says he should stay. Almost every breeding has an adorable baby, but you cannot keep them all as pets.
@@ShiningSakura I'd love if they keep him but they already have Luna, Willow and now Tilly as pets. It won't be good in breeding perspective
I don’t think they will since they don’t have a reason to keep it. They’re not going to keep him as a buck since he’s a runt and they don’t need to keep him as a companion goat

He's cute now, he'll be stinking cute (less of the cute more of the stinking) as a grown buck. :D
Watching it, I was almost wondering if there was something underlying wrong with that doeling, and that’s why Daphne was acting that way towards it. Sometimes when an animal is in pain, they take it out on something else they suddenly associate with the pain

Another reason you didn't try Newt again w moma, you love hugging, playing, and feeding him. He is such a cute newt. Casper is doing great! Smart
Kevin cuddling the kids is the cutest thing I'll see all day.
I am so happy after reading these comments that I’m not the only one. I have always known everyone’s names and yet they seem to just forget I’m there. My life has always been this but I’m so happy I’m not the only one going through this!
Newt is soon stinking cute, and while sad he was rejected, I love the fact that we are gonna be seeing more and more of him.
I hope and pray Daphne settles down and accepts all her babies 🙏🌵🤠
We will be praying for the best
That was scary watching her bite at her baby. Glad you were watching so it didn't get hurt.🥰
I was crying on the inside poor baby
🙏🙏for all the mom's and babies all of you 🌺🌹
I'm SO happy you thought of the pain meds for Daphne! Good call 😊
Hazel’s doelings are literally the cutest things ever 😍!!! Looking forward to seeing that Daphne’s doeling unravel, bless her. She’s so sweet and I’m glad she’s doing ok!!

When Kevin said “You were Perfect” melted my heart!!! So glad everyone is good!!!
I'm SO glad you guys were able to see the pain in Daphne and treat it, it's so wonderful to see all her kids with her again!
Casper being such a claver boy 🥰 love to see it
Kev when he said you were perfect with your kids 😭 and your smile after hearing it 😭 so fricken sweeeeet 💜xx
Poor baby.. I hope she takes care of that little girl
Newt had a little smug milk mustache smile on him when you said he was over 2 pounds! He’s a proud little guy!! Hims looks so dapper in his sweater!!
Good mama!!! Daphne was in pain, and she’s feeling better.
Awesome congrats way to cute aww 💕💕

It sounds like newt is going to make it
He is so adorable.
Love how you all treat these babies. Glad mama settled down and loved her baby. We felt so bad. You guys do such a great job.
Wow that was a little tense situation with Daphne. It was good to see that things seem to be going well now. 👏🏻❤

Oh no poor baby 😢, I hope she calms down and takes card of all the babies.
Kevin is brilliant - he will be able to figure out how to do what it is you need. You both are a great team.
Baby Newt has a milk mustache. Very cute!😍

Aww Newt is so precious. He reminds me of a miniature donkey. Except for his ears. I just want to cuddle with him all day. He's like a toy.
Love your farm and beautiful goats
Beautiful little goat!!! Have a Great Weekend Everyone!!! Sure glad that Mom accepted all three of her babies!! 🤗♥️🙏🏼
