Goat allows you to send a shoe back with 72hrs if you aren’t satisfied for whatever reason only thing you’ll just get goat credit.

We could have predicted this in advance… So it actually makes sense StockX stops with ‘100% authentic’ claims and start working on their customer trust and quality of the ‘StockX verification’, what they should have done from the beginning.
Depends on the pairs you buy as some are made ridiculously close to retail. Retails have their flaws too - ie a pair direct from nike or a retailer can contain where 1 shoe has tumbled leather, toe box shape is different on one shoe, loose panels, sloppy paintwork and stitching, poor use of glue, some panels may be cut slightly different on one shoe etc Expect reps to slip through especially when a sneaky seller has put a very high tier rep in a retail shoe box Luckily for uk and eu you can do returns with no hassle with stockx

I'm never going to use goat. I have it for browsing but goat kind of sucks because it's harder to find out price points, doesn't really show you. The price is harder to find in different sizing by going into some obscure menu. StockX is better because even if it is fake you can just return it and get your money back

StockX has been knowingly or unknowingly selling fakes since day one. I bought a rolex from them in their early days, opened it up and knew right away they were fake. Thankfully I had filmed the unboxing so had proof they sent me a fake. Sneakers are more difficult to authenticate, so I knew right away that it's likely the majority of what they sell on there are fakes.
Stock x cops have been legit for me. We all know those reps from overseas come with stock x tags that aren’t legit though so that’s why they’ve been going threw it. They’ve sent back unauthentic shoes from sellers as well so I’d say stock x is trying to redeem themselves
I’ve never gotten fakes from StockX, I think the issue is similar to how some teslas fail or blow up. It’s extremely rare, but when it happens it’s DEFCON 5 and blah blah blah, cause the average person isn’t going on to talk about their legit cops, it’s like leaving bad reviews. You’re more likely to leave a bad review than a good review for great service

Finally after multiple emails and tons of time, they agreed to take them back as they “slipped through the verification process” - got a, what I guess, is a brand new pair - but at this point, who knows.
The whole Nike lawsuit thing is overblown. I see no reason to trust either party. StockX will continue with the same flawed authentication (EVERY authentication is flawed) and atrocious customer service. I will continue to use it for below retail models because, here in Canada, the real horror stories are duty taxes when ordering with GOAT and brick and mortar retailers asking CAD$330 for Brotherhood AJ1s. Ebay is also an option but locals appear to be a little.... delusional about how much their used sneakers are worth.

It simply covers their ass now if something slips through that’s it. A Guarantee has a lot to be done if they are to back up such a claim and it can bring a lot of problems straight to them and they obviously can’t handle pressure or trust their own methods of authenticity
I’ve sold and bought tons of authentic shoes on StockX. Use them as a buffer but always check your own sneakers. If you’re even a remotely knowledgeable collector, you probably have as much knowledge as any employee they have.

If you are based in eu and uk there are consumer rights to cancel/return within 14 days of receipt for a refund. It's on their site
