Noemus - The Last Escape

My diploma thesis, with which I am finishing my studies of transport design at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava. The topic of this thesis is the evacuation ship Noemus, and highlighting the use of transport design in the game and film industry.
The concept of the evacuation ship is based on VTOL technology, which allows vertical take-off or landing, and thus to operate in hard-to-reach natural or urban areas. The shape of the evacuation craft is aerodynamic to achieve high speeds in horizontal flight with the ability to rotate the wings to different positions to manoeuvre the machine efficiently or to assist in deceleration, braking or hovering in place. The evacuation ship has a larger number of seats (50 or more) to be able to rescue as many people as possible from the affected areas. The landing system of the machine is provided by adjustable extendable arms which extend from the bottom of the ship before the landing manoeuvre. This allows it to land on uneven surfaces such as building rubble, rocky surfaces or holes in the ground. A main boarding platform is located at the rear to provide wheelchair access for civilians, vehicles carrying severely injured persons from a remote area or disabled persons with limited mobility.
The result is a short animated film with post-apocalyptic themes, which immerses the viewer in the situation that can arise when human indifference and ignorance of contemporary problems turn into an irreversible catastrophe. The aim is to show the viewer that the design of means of transport can also be used for the purposes of the interactive and entertainment industry, such as films or video games, in which means of transport can play an important role. The film also serves as a memento or awareness of the importance and significance of protecting our home - the Earth.
