    Nice informative video there fella! I am intrigued however how someone can dislike the video that gives info of new kit to improve things? Especially without a comment to explain why!?!?! Of well, great video and will be looking for this item for myself...keep safe and well buddy 👍🏻

      24886544 , hey thanks buddy appreciate that I love this connection upgrade from Eagle vision it works way better than the original Pard connectors , you don’t need a Allen wrench or need to leave the connection fitting on your scope when not in use , and being able to now fit it to a Nightforce scope with the rear eyebell being a bit awkward is golden !! As for the thumbs down they know where they can stick that thumb 👍👍👍👍 all the way up there !! Hahaha 😂

    Hi, good review mate. Can I ask what Sidewinder scope you are using with the pard as I have a 8-32x56 sidewinder and wondered if it’ll be any good with it?

    • @GianniG55
      @GianniG55  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi John, thanks for checking out the video, I have the 6-24x56 and personally think the one you have should be fine if using for most vermin control past a certain range, just remember that what ever your scope closely focuses at is the only limiting factor meaning if your trying to shoot a rat at extreme close range say in side 6 yards 8 mag might be a touch close possibly if you see what I mean , but if shooting say rabbit, fox , that sort of thing well I think the extra mag is an advantage because say you see a fox at 150 yards the fox will appear closer to you so you won’t have to dial much more mag than some using a scope that starts at 3 mag if you see what I mean ?, with night vision the more mag you dial the darker the image so extra more powerful light is needed , having good lighting is key to long distance night shooting, hope this helps cheers G.

    Hey guys I just want to apologise for the audio in this video I know it is terrible but it was the only place that I had which had enough space and light and was easier to set up , I was only using the internal mic from the camcorder which I know is a sin but I have just purchased an external plug in mic which hopefully should give much better results for future videos thanks G.😁

    Hi there, very interesting the way you looked at the different mounts for the Pard NV007. I have one myself and found it extremely useful for hunting out under shrubbery on a not so dark evening when the light doesn't allow to see through normal day scope. Just one question though, can you put a link to the complete Eagle Vision kit, including that connector?

      When you attach the collar to the Pard you should make sure that you are pushing until it fully engages into the recessed slots and then give a quarter turn and you should be able to feel it engage , there should not be any slop 3hen fully seated also make sure the thin o-ring is still in place, if there is contact Masood at Eagle vision and he will replace it if there is a problem with the fitting, hope this answers for question.

    All very nice, BUT the problem (I know I have one) with the Pard has always been the VERY limited space to rest your head on the stock of the gun, now, looking at this presentation the Eagle fixture IS about TWICE the length WHEN FITTED TO THE PARD therefore ITS VERY UNCOMFORTABLE with very little stock to view. Second point is the comment that the Eagle system helps line up the reticle !!!!! The pard is just an illuminator with a few toys attached, ITS the scopes reticle that matters.

    • @GianniG55
      @GianniG55  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ok let me address some of your points, eye relief , yes whether you use the original pard locking collar or this one you want to pull it back until you have as fuller picture as you can of course otherwise you have a very narrow image I get that , this does also depend on what scope you have as not all scopes have the same eye relief, at least the eagle vision collar helps you to move the scope picture up or down but with the Pard collar your fixed which referring to your comment about the digital reticle it’s Y an X axis if at zero helps you to see if both the reticles a-line to each other or just see how straight you have the Pard unit through the scope but yes the scopes reticle matters most, but this will show up when looking at some recordings where the scope reticle is high or low or to much to one side if your not filming then that’s not a issue, the height of the comb on your stock can also be a issue, a adjustable cheek piece that drops low can also help , there are rubber butt extensions that fit to the butt stock that can also help , I have used this on my .223 and I have the newer version Pard 007V with the 12 mm lens both have McMillan stocks and have also used it on a Cz .22 with a completely different style stock but have also made it work , maybe you would be better off with the shorter version Pard that came out but that has a base mag of about 4 or 6 which can be bad for very closeup work , or you could just sell it and get a dedicated nite scope!

      @GianniG55  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      azz187 Hi , I still don’t get it matey..lol I don’t see how having the bolt heads upside down would be the right way as the way I have them means I can access them easily when doing them up , and also this is not what was causing the binding in the connectors , as you can see in the video just offering them up with just my hands they are incredibly tight with one another, but using the Eagle Vision mount it’s much more easier adjustment and it also means I don’t need to leave the Pard mount on the rifle all the time , but thanks anyway bud.👍

    • @azz187
      @azz187 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just checked on both rings on my guns and the pard goes on both ways, I think you must have a dodgy ring or you are not pushing it on fully before you rotate it to lock it in.
      There is no backwards or "right way" it works both ways.
      I fully agree that the eagle vision mount is definitely better quality made but for me the fact I can buy multiple rings and permanently fix them the each gun thus making it a quick on off affair was a big selling point and before I bit the bullet and splashed out I watched alot of videos about the unit etc I just don't want people who don't have one yet to think because of your video this is that or that's that because I can honestly say that the pard nv007 is the best £400 I've spent and the 20 odd quid on the additional ring was money well spent too

    • @GianniG55
      @GianniG55  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      azz187 I definitely seen videos too and nearly all of them pretty much show how easy the unit goes on to their connectors , all I can say is what was happening with mine both of them, the large and the small , I have multiple rifles so I didn’t want to buy a connector for all of them or spend time talking one off to use on another rifle so the eagle vision was a good choice for me , the other thing that I don’t like about the Pard connector is that having the locking bolts on one side on some scopes it was a difficult getting even tension on the eye bell , but at the end of the day if people are happy with the standard fitting and it works well for them then that’s great , but it’s nice to have a choice.

    • @GianniG55
      @GianniG55  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I know it seems like I have run out of stock but on there is just enough left for me to rest my cheek and the but plate is adjustable so I can lower it to slip into my shoulder pocket, that is my observation with that stock and suits me , plus there is no recoil to worry about, as for my .22 rim fire The stock has a much lower comb and is even easier, same thing with my centre fire rifles they have adjustable cheek pieces which allows me to get a much fuller picture the whole point is that you want to make it work best for you and your rifle because if you have it so far forward your field of view will be crap for longer shots and if you have a very tight beam it will be like shooting through a keyhole and then when you look at the footage it most likely will look like crap because of the very narrow view that’s why you see so many videos showing people shooting things alike rats and rabbits which are usually a lot closer because it also depends on what light you have a lot people use laser light because it has a stronger tighter beam but again it Produces a very narrow field of view so not too bad for the shooter because all he’s interested in is seeing the animal so he can shoot it which is the main reason he is there but when they try to upload the video it’s usually shit and annoying to watch. hope something I’ve said makes sense sorry you didn’t like the video cheers G.

    • @GianniG55
      @GianniG55  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Joseph Papale , the main issue is trying to get the pard back enough so that it can get the maximum Field of view within the scope so if the unit is too far forward it would the if you tried to move your head closer to your scope you would just be tunnel vision your field of view and And equally the same if you tried to move your head too far back you would not be looking straight through your scope so the same can be said when you’re trying to lineup both the unit and the scope together, I believe that the newer models come with a different size lens I have the earlier model which I think had a 16mm and the newer model had a 12mm which might make some difference.
