    One of the best songs from one of the greatest albums of all-time.

    The thing about u2 lyrics is they’re rarely linear and storytelling. They tend much more toward imagery or invoking a feeling rather than spelling it out. I saw a vid w them where Bono says they create the riffs first then he adds just vocal sounds as placeholders. The lyrics get fashioned later to fit those spaces.

    I think you'd like their performance of this Live in Boston 2001, very memorable experience for 1 lucky fan at that concert.

    Brilliant commentary on the lyrics and voice inflection. Dont get this from most reaction channels. Subscribed and looking forward to watching more

    one of my favorite bands growing up in the 80's, saw them touring for this record, day of the green in Oakland CA, great times

    Love the reactions. Also love that this reactor looks like she came right out 1978 and it's so cool. Sorry if it's weird, but I see it.

    The best live band of all time. I’ve seen them 3 times and it’s always the same. Everyone stands up when they enter the stage and no one sits down until the show is over. Bono can get anything he wants out of an audience. Plus, like an old fashioned tent revival, there’s a bit of a feeling that God is in the room. I’ve been to a lot of concerts in my younger years but never seen anything like a U2 show!

    Hi RMK been a fan of U2 for over 40 years now and trust me the best and only way to to enjoy reaction videos of the Band is live versions it's why they're regarded as one of the Greatest band's ever is because of How they deliver the songs live to an audience check out these two songs which are linked together " All i want is you" & Where the streets have no name " recorded live in Slane Castle in Ireland in 2001 " 🇮🇪🎶🎹🎸🥁

    Watch a live version if you really want to see the emotion Bono puts into it.

      @dougman23 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@The_Deaf_Aussie U2 live versions are the best versions, from a fan's perspective. The band often rushed songs to record, then finished them on the road. So, yeah...one of the few bands that live versions are the best way to go

      I prefer the atmospheric studio versions. You lose the atmosphere in the live performance. With U2 atmospheric sound is what makes them unique

      @danbev9313 the albums have that, but U2 live is church to me, and since 1987, they've had the sound system to provide the soundscape. I don't recommend live versions for most artists, but U2's albums were, self admittedly, sometimes not quite complete. They used the live version to "finish" the song. Maybe not here, but songs from Gone to Bad to SBS took on new life live

      Having never seen them live I will have to defer to your experiences.
      Although, let's face it. Most bands don't sound as good live as they do in the studio.
      In fact, many bands get bored playing their own music and will perform altered variations of the original. I dont go to concerts to hear bastardized versions of the original songs that are the soundtracks of my youth. That's just me

    Yeah they have a bunch of great stuff. U should watch and react to some of the live stuff. Also, I play guitar and yeah the edge is deceptively a master. Maybe not like Joe Satriani or someone of that sort. He is known for delay and reverb and now they have an effect that a lot of guitarists like called “Shimmer” that is technically created by him.
    But these guys are really 4 Irish folk singers with a twist of rock.

    I've heard this song for too long, it was great when it was released, but definitely got burnt out on it, IT WAS IN HEAVY ROTATION for too long. I'm only watching 👀 because I like Pri, and her smile 😃 😊
