Best remembered as the Green Ranger.
This film really defined my summer of ‘95.
I actually met Jason David Frank back in 2018 at a anime con in Bossier. He’s still a Power Ranger at heart.

Ok.... now that makes Me want to read a Trigun/ Power Rangers Crossover....
Probably the role that kickstarted his VA career in the first place considering that even in this movie and seasons 2 and 3, the suit footage is voice acted like with Super Sentai, Kamen Rider, Ultraman, etc where stunt actors specially trained to do martial arts while in the low visibility conditions of the helmets are in the suits instead and the people who play the civilian forms voice over them. Obviously this doesn't apply to the helmetless footage though.

I actually met Johnny Yong Bosch at a convention last month.
He was awesome to chat with.
Director Bryan Spicer didn't see the actual series when he was hired. As such, he did a quick "fast-forwarding" run of the series, ensuring things would go wrong.
When the Ranger suits were developed, the helmets were designed without visors or mouth pieces, intending on the heroes showing fear or worry. It wasn't until a little while later that they realized that they were meant to be a fearless force to be reckoned with and they remolded the helmets to include those missing pieces.
Gabrielle Fitzpatrick, the original and final choice for Dulcea, was replaced partway by Mariska Hargitay because she needed to have a cyst removed. However, after filming her scenes, which included a training sequence, they fired her because she flew back to America to visit family for Christmas rather than remaining on-call in Australia. Gabrielle was rehired, but they were unable to re-shoot the aforementioned scenes, resulting in an oddity where the Rangers seem to stare at the monument for a while before going (Dulcea was supposed to train them to be ready for it).
The filming for the final scene where the team is thanked turned into a disaster area when local radio shows caught wind of it and tried to turn it into a "Meet the Power Rangers" contest.
Originally, Ivan Ooze was meant to mutate a bunch of rats for the Rangers to fight. However, the rat costumes proved to be too low budget even for the actual series, leading to the creation of the Ooze Men. However, the suits were spared and used in "The Return of the Green Ranger" three-parter.
I'll give the movie credit for not being boring, which is something I can't really say about the other two.
To date, the best Power Rangers movie will always be Pacific Rim.

24:20 Not to mention the cockpit is in the head when it should be in the chest like basically every Japanese giant robot that's pilotable ever (hence why Domon Kasshu can use Shining/Exploding God Finger on the head of a Gundam without killing anyone). Even Transformers tend to have cabs, cockpits, etc. in their robot mode's chest.
Yeah, except Cherno Alpha had a cockpit in the chest... And look how well THAT turned out.

I wish that Squatt & Baboon were in this, but I do like Goldar after so I ain't complaining.

Edit: Austin St. John got busted in a FBI raid and the green ranger wanted to fight CM Punk.
I do like Bulk & Skull better than Binky & The Tough Customers from Arthur.
Speaking on Chrono Trigger, if they ever decide to make a new work based on it (an anime or otherwise), having Johnny Yong Bosch voice Frog will drive it all home from his bemoaning beginnings now that he’s one to embrace a lot of silly fun.
Fact: Dulcea and Ninjor are partners in the fan comics of power rangers: a nightmare on elm street, and I highly recommend you to check them out.
Still waiting for that ToQGer adaptation. Like, I know it's possibly never gonna happen, but one could hope.
Aside from the 30th anniversary, Hasbro is rebooting Power Rangers with completely original footage. It's not happening. Dino Fury only even happened because of COVID setbacks delaying the reboot.

i love the movie and i wish that could've been an actual beginning of season 3 and then in later episodes of mighty morphin season 3 ninjor comes in even that i also enjoy ninja quest episodes for what we got.

What you were saying about the bad cgi, what you have to remember is that cgi was just starting off in the 1990s so that's why it looks bad

I was always curious about the super sentai series just not sure where to watch it.
The CG effects in this film make Reboot feel like The Mitchells vs The Machines.😖
personally in my opinion I like the way Rita Zedd goldar zordon alpha 5. the command center and the zords look like in this movie compared to the TV show
The command center in the TV series is way better than the command center in the movie in my opinion ..
Just gonna say historically there were always 6 power coins from the beginning zordon just took a long time to find someone worth the 6th power coin
also I like the way alpha 5 and the rangers look like in the movie. why couldn't they have kept the main costumes for all those characters and the same way from the movie and I just adopted it into the TV show?
The suits from the film should've been the metallic armor in season 3 when Master Vile was introduced. Instead, to quote Linkara, "It's frickin' glitter!"
Like batman forever I enjoy mighty morphin power rangers the movie despite for a few nitpicks I would say.

How topical this week had been after Austin St John was arrested for COVID fraud.
Former MMPR fans had to jump into watching Super Sentai for specific reasons. Notably the entire Neo-Saban era and the infamous "Legendary Battle", which is a clear reminder that all of the veteran actors and actresses will never ever come back for future reunions and crossovers.
I'd hate to imagine how Thuy Trang would have reacted to this if she was still alive.
I haven't seen this movie in forever.
