    *Long term thoughts:* I'm still using this solution but I am noticing receptions issues when using it outdoors. Not sure if it is because of additional interference or something else but it does frequently cut in and out when I'm strolling around outside and requires some additional attention to where I position my phone when sitting. My Jaybirds X2 are definitely a lot more stable and never drop in the same scenarios. Using it indoors for me doesn't seem to have as much of an issue with reception. So keep that in mind!

      It's that for all of those adaptors. they're just poorly built. they've cut cost in the wrong place. It's actually amazing how many of these incredible bad adaptors and copies of those actually exist. Ive tried 3, and all are equally bad.

      @@krimke881 I have Btunes for my QC15 and they work fine. I tested the battery life and I got about 10 hours using at about 60%-70% volume. They cost about $40 on amazon. It uses microUSB to charge and are bluetooth 5.0. Never had an issue with connection stability. I own a QC35II already and I thought the $40 was well worth it to modernize my old QC15. And now I use both headphones.

    Sounds like you you would had been a lot happier with the Btunes version of these. It fixes all the issues of the AirMODS. There’s a voice that prompts you about the battery life. It has APTX and APTX LL. Battery life is also better at about 8-10 hours. Also the main advantage is that they dont have the dumb charger of the AirMOD. They use microUSB and could be charged with the device still plugged in.

    Great review! I have these and I found myself eventually using them less then my bose cable because in my experience, they take away the great soundstage quality of the QC25. First off they amplify music a bit more then the wire, which I did not mind; I liked more volume out of my QC25s but at times, I needed to lower them as it almost distorted my music. So I just lowered my iPhone 6S and volume 1 or 2 notches down and doing so would match their sound volume to my wired connection. Well, after listening to my tracks with the AirMods on and with the volume level on par w/ the wire volume for a few weeks, I began to notice my tracks were missing that great three dimensional soundstage quality. Also, they introduce a slight change on mid & high frequencies that to me were quite noticeable. Overall stereo music became less spacial and more equal in both ear cups. I may be a audiophile, I don't know, but do repeat my tracks a lot and I definitely enjoyed my music more when going back to wire. In all, AirMods are a relief when you just get tired of wire and immediately give you that liberating wireless headphone enjoyment, and that sometimes made up for the lack of good soundstage. They're still a great option for these headphones!

    What do you think about the BTunes Wireless Bluetooth Adapter for Bose Quiet Comfort 25 Headphones vs. the airmods? thanks!

    I've been having a range issue with mine where if I have my iPhone 6 in my jacket pocket it will cut out. It only works when i hold my phone in my hand and raise it a bit above the level of my jacket pocket. Do I have a defective unit or is this a common manufacturing issue with the units?

      This was the main reason y I avoided the airmods and got the Btunes version instead. Using microUSB and being able to charge it while still connected is a huge plus. It also supports APTX, APTX LL and is bluetooth 5.0.That preparatory charger and having to take it out was a deal breaker for me when it came to the airmod.

      Actually, for QC 25, it's the cables that are either for android or iOS. The headphone itself is the same.

    Whew... pretty steep price considering it's almost a third of the price of new headphones. Still cheaper than buying the new QC35's, but I think I'll at least wait until I'm forced to have Bluetooth everything, or they go on sale. Detailed review, though!

    Should check out Sony MDR 1000X. Worth every $. They somehow managed to cram in $10000 Studio drivers and add non-high-pressure ANC with LDAC(Sony's proprietary Hi-Res wireless playback system), aptX, onboard DAC, upscaling, 20hrs of playback, etc. I own one and still cannot imagine how they managed to keep the price low. I think this thing finally killed the Bose QC 35. Should try it.

    • @HelloDavid
      @HelloDavid  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the suggestion! Didn't really need another pair of ANC headphones but those do look really well designed/spec'd. Might need to check them out.... lol thanks.

      g.k. k. Have you heard of the sennhiser pxc 550's?

    • @FoodFighter46
      @FoodFighter46 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ray McCarthy yes and they aren't as comfortable nor has good ANC as others. I tried them all 3 competitors before purchasing ANC Bluetooth. To be honest I was expecting more from Sennheiser...

    • @RookieRay
      @RookieRay 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I guess ANC is not Sennheisers profession like Bose and now recently Sony. Surely you must agree that the Sennheiser 550's have a superior sound quality?

    • @FoodFighter46
      @FoodFighter46 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ray McCarthy not quite to the Sennheiser's usual quality. They just literary failed on that product from design and functionality to the actual pure audio. I have listened to Momentums, HD series and other brands as well. The ANC took away the high and low, the mid was weak with/without ANC. It was just not worth the price. Even with DAC and AMP connected with wires.
