Thinknoodles what you have to do is Multiplayer Tune your car. You could play on Career mode but since your playing on multiplayer you need to tune it. There are videos where it tells you how to MP Tune the vehicle. It upgrades your cars speed while also keeping u in a certain rank where there are car with lower ranks.
