it’s eye opening how you and ashtin had opposite experiences with relationships (alix leaving easily and ashtin being attached) but you both have ended up happy and where you were meant to be. alix learned to trust in love and ashtin learned to be independent 💜
The way I needed this is beyond me. I’ve been fighting myself to leave a 10 year relationship. I relate to Ashtin so much and find it inspiring to see how things worked out for her. I wish I had someone like Alix in my corner. Thank you both for providing insight and perspective. Ily ily ily ❤
When you find your person you'll never second guess it. Trust me! I ended up getting married to a relationship I fought to leave and it didn't last a year after we got married. Now I'm remarried and have a 3yo with my bestfriend. Trust yourself and your heart sister! I'm so thankful everyday for leaving even though it was hard!
Coming from a sister who had a sister who was in a toxic relationship for 4+ years, it’s so hard not to say something and get involved so anyone hating on alix has obviously never had a sibling because seeing someone hurt the person that you love and grew up with is hard. Glad that Ashtin made it out though so did my sis!! (thanks to me😏🙂↕️)
Me crying too because I was once the way Ashtin was and I’ve grown so much over the years.❤ s/o to our people for always being there for us supporting and lifting up up through the lows
Also the fact that Alix rekindled with a long distance ex best friend recently makes me optimistic about my long distance best friend messaging me a few days ago! She continues to be relatable
A Woman will tell a man over and over again exactly what bothers them. The guy doesn't change and keeps doing it. The woman over time loses interest and leaves. The guy is left confused saying he has NO IDEA why she left him and that she's crazy. and the stereotype continues that women aren't good communicators and we're constantly barraged with the "I'm fine" memes. And the cycle continues...
I went through the same thing but he kept cheating never tried to change for 5 years just to say “why are u like this we aren’t even together” and over time i felt nothing but pain i still do 3 yrs later i still didn’t heal bc yk u can feel things ending when all u guys do is argue almost every single day if not every other day what made me leave was when i found out the whole time he swore he wanted kids and get married he cheated the WHOLE TIME, went to parties while he was supposed to sleep, met up in the bathrooms with girls, but what broke my heart was when i found out he apologized to every single girl he cheated on me with BUT me
You 2 are both still very YOUNG! Still have alot of growing in relationships and learning to do….. Bet you will watch this back in 10yrs and be like wow I thought I knew everything at the ripe age of…. 😅
57:37 darnnn, that last piece of advice was such a missed opportunity for a Lume sponsorship 😂 Have your team clip that segment and upload to other platforms as an ad hahahahahhahahahah
I am currently in the position Ashtin was a few years ago 💔😞I really needed this podcast and to hear this. my sister is currently in Alixs position trying to pull me out of this relationship except she’s younger :/
50:30 someone said hands in the air dancing is "out" and makes you old. I genuinely don't know how to dance without my hands up so I'm a little lost. Thanks for showcasing a "hands up" dance move as a YOOOOOOUNG trendy beautyyyyyyy. My 30-something ass was feeling ooooooold.
I really do not like my best friends boyfriend and it’s her first love too so it’s even harder to communicate my feelings with her. I just think she deserves better but I don’t want her to get upset at me
I honestly think your tactic, Alix, was you were close to Ashtins bf, he was like a little brother bc you were so close to his family and knew him for so long, so you didn’t want to like bad mouth him, especially bc Ashtin still loved him, and deep down knew something wasn’t right, but wasn’t ready to actually SEE what she already knew so you saying something was just gonna upset her and make her defensive, but you saw the red flags and knew it just wasn’t healthy - especially with the abroad thing and him like controlling her experiences - but it’s so hard to tell someone like your sister bc they’re stubborn; and it was a touchy situation but if you painted it like, “you need to be single; you need to have fun, you need to experience things, etc. etc.” it was like not bad mouthing HIM, but just telling her generally what she was missing out on. You had to tell her in SOME WAY, that you had your reservations, but like how when she wasn’t ready to see it! I hope that makes sense, but hearing Ashtin explain how it made her feel totally solidifies my thoughts. However, I agree it would have prob worked better if you were like, “look Ashtin, you’re missing out on a, b & c and I love you so so much and I know it’s hard for you, Becuase you love him and you can’t see yourself without him, but just trust me, it will get better and your just gonna thriveeee but he’s just not it!” However, even if you went that route she was gonna do it on her time. Also; they fought about you, bc he was threatened by you and he KNEW you were on to him and could see thru his bullshit. Haha It all worked out the best way; and when she needed you the most - after the breakup, even if she didn’t even know what she needed, you were there & it was on her time and then you helped her thru it. I love you two!
This episode is extra special. Your relationship and bond with Ashtin is so beautiful and I’m glad you found your way back to one another. As an only child, I’ve always wondered how my life might have been different if I’d had a built in best friend! 🩷
Do you know them personally? Funny how Ashtin opened up and got vulnerable but you have to turn it into a negative. 99.9% of the time sisterhood and siblings generally will always love each other and want a close relationship. Like they both explained things happen in life and as we grow up family relationships can change, but siblings most of the time come back together at some point in life, they’re both still very very young and going through pivotal moments in their young adulthood. Plus it’s kinda strange drawing that conclusion from people you don’t know?
Alix!! You are such a sweetheart and genuine soul! Im a 40 yo wife and mother and women my age are Earlegirls as well ❤ keep being genuine it’s amazing

This is so validating! I have felt so many of these things ashtin so proud of you for speaking on it ❤

Because the stereotype is literally true. All women are hysterical agents of chaos. You deserve nothing

Oh yes she was talking about Xandra being at the Si runway . I wonder if they even acknowledged one another

55:07 all great advice, however, better than a typical mens razor is a weighted handle single straight blade razor.

Hahaha it’s DEF “stick to your guns”. Ashtin is 100% correct how she used it. Sorry; Alix, but yes it, “sounds like you’re dumb” hahahahaha
Ugh the numb piece :( so glad you got out of that
