OMG Cloud Atlas is one of my favorite books of all time, it literally changed my reading taste forever Omg literally why are we like the same person 😅 I'm also a vegetarian/almost vegan and since you mention Cardcapture Sakura, I have to mention the other manga by that publisher that is set in the same world (but can be read separately) -- xxxHolic! It's one of my favorite mangas and it's so magical & cozy but with a dash of darkness that CS doesn't have.

The important question is, Kari, is a Blob of what?! 😂 Seriously, great list. I think you'll love Murakami. Some say he's a massive sexist, but it's all about artist vs art, which sadly, lots miss the point on. I was lucky enough to hear Murakami talk years ago at a Writers Festival here, and he was the sweetest, funniest man! Word of warning though, Norwegian Wood was his 1st book, and he now doesn't like it lol. I want to read some of these books in 2025 as well, including Lolita.
