What about Anjem Choudary? What about the Taliban and Alqaeda in Afghanistan? What about the two Jihadi women in France? What about Boko Haram and Alshabab in Africa? Not everyone who professes to be a Muslim shares your views. If they did, there would be no need to be "Islamophobic." Ex-Muslims, like Sarah Haider, say that people in the West are naive not to be "Islamophobic." Brigitte Gabriel says that when she was a teenager in Lebanon, Muslims were trying to kill her and her family because they were Christians. I know personally a Greek-American lady who says that her grandfather was beheaded by Turkish Muslims. No one should fear Dr. Shabir's version of the religion, but there are other versions of the religion - the dark, sinister versions - that every non-Muslim should fear. You can pretend that those versions do not exist or say that the adherents of those versions are in error and do not really practice the religion, but those people do believe in their hearts that they are practicing Islam. The Jihadi women in France said they wanted to go to Paradise and that killing people would help them get there. Watch France 24. This is current news. You can see it on the internet.
U judge that from a Christian perspective in fact the golden age of Islam was when spirituality was within a state where everyone was free and human and animal rights where of top priority on the other hand the dark age of Christians was when religion ruled state but not as church and state separated now Christians have their golden age and Muslims have their dark age since Islam was separated from state

Why is it considered islamophobic to question the tenets of Islam? Is it christianophobic to discuss and express concerns about Christianity or Buddhaphobic to criticise Buddha? This is sheer bigotry by Dr Ally and host. “The islamophobes say this, the islamophobes say that”....this is extremely offensive to the many people who have genuine questions or concerns about Islam or any other religion for that matter. Are we to stay silent? This is censorship at its worst. Please consider what consequences your narrow minded attitude to discussion will have. It will alienate Muslims further as any form of scholarly discussion will be muted unless it is complimentary to Islam. Most people have no issues with religion - it is the refusal, obfuscation and denial to scrutinise scripture and promote genuine discussion that is seen as dishonest and evasive. Dr Ally dances around the facts as per usual as he only quotes scripture that is pleasing to his argument and ignores the plethora of hadiths and Quranic verses that are in direct opposition to his views. It’s the same usual tired arguments ...”interpreting the texts incorrectly”, “only valid in the time of Muhammad”, “this Hadith is weak”....and so on and so forth. Please please please offer some genuine discourse instead of this tired dawah dodging.
Last minute.. everything explained..for the believers ..that inculcate every positive thing.. every possible good behaviour..in individual level..and leave rest on Allah swt.. Allah swt knows we r weak..and very little we can do without His help..but sadly when we cross boundaries.. Allah leaves us to fend for ourselves and everything appears chaotic..heavy.. obstructive.. which is all the more evident upon muslim ummah today
Question: if I go to a halal butcher shop to buy meat, but the meat is cut from someone who is not muslim (or Ahmaddi), is the meat still considered halal when I consume it? Thank you!
No, no religious person can be a loyal citizen. Your loyalty to your country should surpass your loyalty to your religion. But most religious people would rather be traitorous defectors than give up their religion if the choice was on their plate. While I understand not every nation is great, if you love your country you should forsake your religion and focus on making your nation greater.
Now mashallah.. your beard.. looking right.. right.. right..also as far we know..no problem if henna brown..if so we want to see u in brown bread too.. commonly seen even in scholars in Asian countries in particular
Why always say ismlamaphobes. I feel offended! People who criticize islam are not always ismlamaphobes but simply critical thinkers who challenge a outdated religion and world view. Having said that, the Muslim cleric speaking here speaks very well and makes some good points. Thanks 👍
People will believe of others what they will. No proof will be thorough enough. No declaration will be heartfelt enough. Fact is that many people have a need to see danger in shades of grey whether there is true danger or not. People instinctively find danger in whatever deviates from their norm. Just people being people.
Dr. Shabbir, I'm from India. I request you to kindly express your opinion on what is called "Ghazwa-e-Hind". Indian Muslims constantly targeted in our society because this concept has time and again been brought in to discussion here India by Islamophobe Tarek Fatah. Your opinion on this will help us to refute him on Indian Social media and make our fellow Indians from different faiths to assure them of our loyalty with our country.

Excellent piece!
When state (government) & religion are one, human rights violations increase.
