    I've been reading the bible for the first time in my life, as muslim Arabs we have zero knowledge of the bible so we lack argument unless we use the Quran , most of my readings indicate that the disciples of Jesus are basically writing his teachings not the direct words of God unless the speaker is Jesus ,the problem is when I asked the Christian people around me their answer was a challenge :read the bible in original language nd then you can argue if it was corrupted or not
    Nd I agree I should be able to read it by original language.
    However through all my readings I noticed the same ayat in the bible are found in the Quran but the perspective if we can say so is different nd you can clearly indicate they come from the same place for the same purpose, makes you wonder about God ways of showing us his well .

    Great video, I'm a pastor and these same questions about the bible I had them for a long time, but after much research I came to the conclusion that the problem is what we've been lead to believe about the bible,( "that the bible is the word of God") the problem is that jesus never talked or even mentioned about a book to guide us but instead he did mentioned about the Holy spirit that would guide us to truth, the gospel are imperfect historical documents that can be traced to even 20 years after the death of jesus, so they are reliable as history.
    The difference between the bible and Quran is that one claims to be dictated by God and the other claims just inspiration. in the inspiration one ,There is room for human error but the main message is still true that (jesus die and resurrected for our sins).
    the other claims perfection, which mean that the slightest error or contradiction and all the message is false because God dosnt make mistakes. And I see that a lot of that in Quaran.

    • @jzlnz

      how you can believe a book that have many error & contradict itself? with that kind of errors can you confirm Jesus original teaching? simply not if you based on logic and rational.

    • @PastorMelquicedec
      @PastorMelquicedec 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@jzlnz it's easy, without the bible you will find overwhelming evidence that a miracle working man who had a small group of followers changed the world only AFTER he died because thousands claimed to see him alive. and thousands of people where willing to die for this belief. if we can see this without reading the bible then the bible just becomes inside info about how it happened.
      the craziest thing is when you read that other authors prophesied about jesus thousand of years before that he would die a horrible death for our sins you then come to the conclusion that its inspired by God

It proof nothing brother - people still die for false believe in the past and probably in the future. It doesn't proof the teaching is right or wrong.
      Why should we believe a book with many error and a book that contradict itself. How you know the actual teaching of Jesus? it make no sense to trust this book if we use logic and rational.

    • @PastorMelquicedec
      @PastorMelquicedec 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@jzlnzthe problem is that you're looking at the bible as book, which is not. It's a collection of personal accounts of what happened, or letters written for people of their time, is not meant to convince you of what happened is true or not, is just what they experienced. , except for the book of Luke which is written as historian.
      And they all tell the same story that jesus die and resurrected for your sins. Even the weird books that are not in the new testament also. By the way johnstown were poisoned, but reflect on this if jesus existed which is proven outside of the bible, if he Died also proven outside of the bible. If thousand of people converted because of his resurrection why didn't the Jewish or Romans didn't stop the threat to this revolution by just showing his body???? they couldn't because the tomb was empty. It proof my point that people die for all sort of believe - right or wrong.I have no problem believing Jesus existence , the only problem i have is believe true teaching of Jesus? They tell the same stories?- same goes to other historian that have counter argument -different stories. Can we trust it? What about thousand of people did not convert to Christianity at that time- it still don't proof Christian is true/false. To me the best way is use the logic and rational, why Jesus need to die for our sin - its not rational at all, God sacrifice its own flesh? why cant God just forgive? It end here. I believe we have productive things to do.

      It isn't fabricated ,but unlike Islam , we are actually allowed to question ,and ask whether stories in the Bible are from the Spirit ,or added/taken away.This is why scholars have gone through so many manuscripts ,and Bibles are annotated to say what the manuscripts .
      Unlike Mohammed ,who thought that Christians discussing these matters were somehow 'corrupting' the Bible ', we don't use definitely known false sources regarding Biblical stories such as the Infancy Gospel of Thomas or the Syriac Infancy Gospel ,which are obvious forgeries to include in our Holy Texts .
      Tell me ,what happened to verse about stoning ( and bizarre breastfeeding )in the Quran. You know the one Aisha said a sheep ate?
      Sunan ibn Majah 1944-It was narrated that Aishah said: “The Verse of stoning and of breastfeeding an adult ten times was revealed, and the paper was with me under my pillow. When the Messenger of Allah died, we were preoccupied with his death, and a tame sheep came in and ate it.”

      The important thing is the message.Christ said not to stone ,since it is God who is without sin and can only judge.However ,unfortunately the Mohammedan message on execution and torture isn't quite same.
      As Jesus said
      'Let Him without sin cast the first stone.' Ha ha...

      The mistake you make is thinking that because some early manuscript do not have a text that it was added later.There are references to the passage in numerous early sources ,so how could it have been added later?The idea that it wasn't in the original comes from some manuscripts of John having it later in the book ,as early Church Fathers used to put it later in the book ,as they considered it an important passage regarding mercy.

      @@Memeophobe Dude. Wikipedia is not a good source of reference. Lol if you use Wikipedia as a reference in uni you'd get marked down. And BTW about these "missing verses" you keep bringing up. The Quran was an oral revelation. It was recited and memorised by the Prophet pbuh, his companions and the Muslims. When the Quran was compiled into an actual text (first by Abu Bakr ra as caliph, then Uthman ra) they brought together the best of the companions who were absolutely brilliant in their memorisation of it, including Zayd ra who was even a chosen scribe of the Prophet pbuh himself. It was written down on pieces here and there throughout the time of the Prophet pbuh but it was memorised by all the Muslims and the companions too. So even if a few pieces of parchment were destroyed that doesn't mean verses were lost because the Muslims had them memorised in their minds and hearts. Not to mention the Quran was recited daily (minimum 5x a day during public prayers in congregation) and on Fridays (the day of jummah which is an obligatory prayer Muslims must attend every week) and on top of that it was recited at least 3 times (the full Quran) every Ramadan. Not just that the Quran was being taught daily by the Prophet pbuh himself to any Muslim who came to hear him in his mosque. And this practice was continued during the caliphs times too. As for hafs andwarsh, mate, it's a different recitation that's all and BTW all 10 different ways to recite were passed down by the Prophet pbuh himself who was given that authority to do so by God Himself. The Quran has a chain of narration straight back to the Prophet pbuh and to God. The Bible you guys have can't even say it goes directly back to Jesus pbuh. Its just writings by people who never knew nor met nor even heard Jesus pbuh speak themselves. Plus theres the Birmingham Quran now for more textual proof that we have the original Quran today. It's not comparable to the bible at all.

      If you completely remove that story from the Bible, does any of the Gospel's message change?
      It does not, of course. The same essence of the Gospel remains, the same truth that Jesus is one with the Father and that He loves you so much He died to redeem you from your sins.
      God does provide (true) comfort, if you seek Him truly.
      Even the Qur'an says that the Gospels are true, so take comfort in this:
      “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you." - Matthew 7:7
      Seek Jesus. If He is not truly Lord, you will not find Him to be Lord. But if you seek Him truly, and He is truly Lord, He will reveal that to you.
      Praying for you to find the truth. ❤

    I think it wasn't that John said Jesus claimed to be God. Rather, Jesus is unique, and up till then, they were trying to understand who Jesus was in all prophecy. He wasn't just a human, he was the first creation God made, and the Messiah, the King of God's Kingdom.

    • @jianju4916
      @jianju4916 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @م الخالدي Hi, this is Marisa, from my other acct (not my cellphone)
      Here's the break down of the subject starting with Colossians 1: 15.
      "He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation" - Colossians 1: 15
      "creation" = made by God
      That seems obvious to me.
      "firstborn of all creation" = ....I think about how birth is used in the Bible.
      Jesus is also called: the Son of God.
      Who else was called "son of God"? and why?
      At Luke 3: 38, Adam is called "son of God", and why? because he was created by God.
      God is also called: Father
      Father of what? His creation. Why? Because he created his creation.
      Therefore: "creator" is to "father" what "creation" is to "son"
      Why would God use this type of wording? I think to help humans understand by what we know (human relationships) the things we can't see (that we were created by an invisible God).
      But what about "firstborn"? I think, the first child. And if children and sons mean creation, then I think the first creation.
      Then I think of another wording that is used about Jesus regarding his being "born." At John 3: 16 it says, "For God loved the world so much that he gave his only-begotten Son..." and at John 3: 18 where it says, "...faith in the name of the only-begotten Son of God."
      This reminds me of Abraham and Issac.
      Abraham had only had one son through Sarah: Issac. At Genesis 22: 2, God told Abraham, "Take please, your son, your only son whom you so love, Issac, and ...offer him up there as a burnt offering..."
      Then I compare this to Hebrews 11: 17, where it says, "Abraham, when he was tested, as good as offered up Issac - the man who had gladly received the promises attempted to offer up his only-begotten son..."
      God was going to offer up Jesus as a sacrifice for sins.
      God = Father; Jesus = only-begotten Son
      Abraham = father; Issac = only-begotten son (through Sarah)
      So why is Jesus called the "only-begotten" Son of God? I would think because Jesus would be the only one God created. ...but didn't God create all of us?
      Then I think of Proverbs 8, which speaks of wisdom personified, much as Solomon was the wisest man, and Jesus was the greater Solomon, and with looking at this description of wisdom, it is clear to me that it is talking about Jesus as if he is Wisdom personified. "Jehovah produced me as the beginning of his way, the earliest of his achievements of long ago. From ancient times I was installed, from the start, from times earlier than the earth... then I was beside him as a master worker. I was the one he was especially fond of day by day; I rejoiced before him all the time; I rejoiced over his habitable earth, and I was especially fond of the sons of men."
      From these verses, these words stick out to me:
      "Jehovah produced me as the beginning of his way"
      "the earliest of his achievements of long ago"
      "I was beside him as a master worker"
      And this in turn makes me think of John 1: 1-3, where it says Jesus was "in the beginning," a reference to Genesis 1: 1's "in the beginning."
      In the beginning of what? Genesis 1: 1 starts not with God creating the angels (although we know from Job 38: 7 that the Angels were alive when the earth was created), but with physical creation.
      So Jesus was with God at the beginning of physical creation. And it also says, "All things came into existence through him, and apart from him not even one thing came into existence."
      So Jesus was the first being God created, he became God's master worker, and through Jesus God created all other things. ...this means that Jesus was the only creation God made all by himself, which explains why God considers Jesus his only-begotten, or his only son, his only creation. Because all other creation wasn't made directly by Jehovah God, but through Jesus as God's master worker.
      Now, my conclusion so far is: "...firstborn of all creation" = the first being God the Father created
      Does this make sense with the rest of the Bible? Well it makes sense then why God had the Israelites offer up the best of their produce. Why? Because Jehovah needed a perfect being to die in place of Adam, but no humans were perfect. God could theoretically have sent any angel to become a perfect human, but instead he sent his first spirit son, his first creation, and the only son he created by himself. (I should note, God couldn't just make a new perfect human either, because God is in his 7th day of rest, rest from creating.)
      And again this reminds me of Genesis 22: 2 where God says to Abraham, "..your only son whom you so love..." and also at Proverbs 8, where Jesus says, "I was the one he (God) was especially fond of day by day..."
      Therefore it makes sense to me, that through the account about Abraham and Issac, we can appreciate what Jesus' death meant to God. He didn't offer up just anybody, but his most precious first and only true creation, that is, his firstborn only-begotten son. God gave us his very best.
      Thus I see Jehovah God as the only one who has existed, and Jesus as his first creation who God has given special glory and position as God's chosen King (Christ means chosen) for his perfect obedience to the point of death.

    Question:-
    "Who is God?"
    Answer:-
    Who is God? What is God? How can we know God?
    Who is God? - The Fact
    The fact of God’s existence is so conspicuous, both through creation and through man’s conscience, that the Bible calls the atheist a “fool” (Psalm 14:1). Accordingly, the Bible never attempts to prove the existence of God; rather, it assumes His existence from the very beginning (Genesis 1:1). What the Bible does is reveal the nature, character, and work of God.
    Who is God? - The Definition
    Thinking correctly about God is of utmost importance because a false idea about God is idolatry. In Psalm 50:21, God reproves the wicked man with this accusation: “You thought I was altogether like you.” To start with, a good summary definition of God is “the Supreme Being; the Creator and Ruler of all that is; the Self-existent One who is perfect in power, goodness, and wisdom.”
    Who is God? - His Nature
    We know certain things to be true of God for one reason: in His mercy He has condescended to reveal some of His qualities to us. God is spirit, by nature intangible (John 4:24). God is One, but He exists as three Persons-God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit (Matthew 3:16-17). God is infinite (1 Timothy 1:17), incomparable (2 Samuel 7:22), and unchanging (Malachi 3:6). God exists everywhere (Psalm 139:7-12), knows everything (Psalm 147:5; Isaiah 40:28), and has all power and authority (Ephesians 1; Revelation 19:6).
    Who is God? - His Character
    Here are some of God’s characteristics as revealed in the Bible: God is just (Acts 17:31), loving (Ephesians 2:4-5), truthful (John 14:6), and holy (1 John 1:5). God shows compassion (2 Corinthians 1:3), mercy (Romans 9:15), and grace (Romans 5:17). God judges sin (Psalm 5:5) but also offers forgiveness (Psalm 130:4).
    Who is God? - His Work
    We cannot understand God apart from His works, because what God does flows from who He is. Here is an abbreviated list of God’s works, past, present, and future: God created the world (Genesis 1:1; Isaiah 42:5); He actively sustains the world
    (Colossians 1:17); He is executing His eternal plan (Ephesians 1:11) which involves the redemption of man from the curse of sin and death (Galatians 3:13-14); He draws people to Christ (John 6:44); He disciplines His children (Hebrews 12:6); and He will judge the world
    (Revelation 20:11-15).
    Who is God? - A Relationship with Him
    In the Person of the Son, God became incarnate (John 1:14). The Son of God became the Son of Man and is therefore the “bridge” between God and man (John 14:6; 1 Timothy 2:5). It is only through the Son that we can have forgiveness of sins (Ephesians 1:7), reconciliation with God (John 15:15; Romans 5:10), and eternal salvation
    (2 Timothy 2:10). In Jesus Christ “all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form” (Colossians 2:9). So, to really know who God is, all we have to do is look at Jesus. God Bless You Amen!

    • @sameerishaque7635
      @sameerishaque7635 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      A clear contradiction in the bible in the last part here, you mention that 'God became incarnate', in Malachi 3:6 it says that 'God does not change'.

    Bismillah irRahman irRaheem
    Sis, if you're a firm believer in life after death (Heaven & Hell), I would suggest that you search for the truth. The hereafter is eternal , so you owe it to yourself to try to save yourself from a place where there is nothing but misery, torment and pain (Hellfire). Our Creator did not create us and not tell us how to save ours souls, HE is Just and HE sent down Scriptures to guide us. The Torah, the Injeel, the Qur'an and one Scripture leads to another (the Torah lead to the Injeel and the Injeel lead to the Qur'an - the last and final testament). I suggest that you sincerely call on your Creator and ask HIM to guide you, and I promise you HE will guide you to Islam. All the prophets and messengers were Muslims (one who submits his will to The Creator, like Jesus). May ALLAH guide you to that which is correct, Islam, Ameen.

    Me=Not a Christian. You made the wrong assumption Bible is the 100% direct words of God. It is the message and inherent divine principles and doctrines therein that count. The NT [not OT] has an OVERRIDING pacifist maxim of 'love' that matters and where Christians will be judged upon.
    There are loads of debates on whether the Quran is an uncorrupted pristine original or if it is compiled by fallible humans[s]. But the point is, God is transcendental thus impossible to deliver a 100% perfect empirical human [fallible] based texts.
    Btw, >30% of the Quran's 112 verses are related to the Biblical stories [changed] from the Bible. No human can conclude and judge finitude but the Biblical stories are by default original and thus the later ones [>700 years after] are likely to be edited and twisted.

      Quran < 700 years firstly, secondly the NT has no overriding pacifist maxim of 'love' at all, firstly, Jesus said '"Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword", clear-cut explicit evidence that the NT is not pacifistic.

      A conversation is NOT possible with this person. It is one sided as he holds the remote. You will hear only what he ALLOWS you to hear.
