I love the tone this cover inspires. It takes a song about waiting for a great *partner* and gives it the feel of Holding the Line for a Hero to come and save your ass.
I love this version for a few reasons - a) production. b) vocal power. c) lyrics. This isn't "just another cover" - they've actually altered the lyrics so that they make sense being sung by a male vocalist. Just shows care and attention to detail. Amazing cover :)
Craig Watson Naw, I hate when people alter lyrics just because of their gender... don't see it as clever or anything just makes the song sound horrible to me lol
@@sbarry92 I'm kidna on the fence too about the gender thing because... on one hand I feel like something doesn't seem right about the gender change, but at the same time 1: it's a good cover otherwise, 2: it gives this sort of feeling of... like I could see an edgy AMV of like Erza Scarlet or Lara Croft or literally any action girl in popular fiction. It feels like a tribute to whatever specific woman the song was talking about.
While nothing beats the original, this is definitely the best cover I've heard. The original inspires men to be heroic, and the new slow ones seem to be waiting for someone whiny and emo. Like anyone really needs that. This one makes me want to bite the heads off sheep!
Darling there is a wonder women movie with this song th-cam.com/video/onHFTAmItXM/w-d-xo.html iam just not sure if this the kind of movie you had in mind :D
I tried it on 0.75x speed and I think it sounds more epic. The speed in normal sounds more like a mix of cocaine and caffeine with honey and sugar plus energy drinks and a mint with red peppers.
You made a good spot though! The recording is awful. But that's a technical issue. The point is that speed is not the same thing as power. Going a million miles an hour doesn't mean it's epic. Sometimes, it's just Frantic. Sometimes, slowing down is a good thing. Yes, "Through the Fire and Flames" is an epic tune. But, so is "Fade to Black".
Niki, you are a legend! Why ae you the only person who's posted this version? It's the only version anyone needs apart from the original Bonnie Tyler version! Del.
I love it! Thats hymne of old maids, want to sing it on my 25th birthday in 2017. But the voice sounds like Cher and Bruce in one and music is awesome, its like Jean Michel Jarre turned to a metal musician.
Hi there! @NikiTheBestia, could you send me this song please??? I've been looking for it on iTunes and it isn't available… and I haven't found it anywhere… D: I'm a huge Reinxeed fan and this cover is awesome! Cheers!
@Avenging Demon it's not wrong unless you're taking the meaning in a way that you shouldn't be taking it to begin with. The words exist to simply refer to one or the other, plain and simple. Hero can be used in a way to mean either gender, and is in plenty of examples. Here in this song it does sound fine to me, but yes heroine is the word to refer to explicitly the female heroes. It's not a bad word. It doesn't make them lesser or separate from male heroes. It's simply to divide the talking point of referring to the female ones, which grammatically would make sense here, but as I said it sounds fine as is with just "hero". Because it is in that sense being used vaguely in the song, just for a "hero" to come. And we don't really need "heroine" when after "hero" it's "she she she". It gets the point across. However, yes "goddess" should be used in the lyrics instead. The line isn't quite as blurred as hero/heroine, gods is generally used to refer to males and goddesses is generally used to refer to females. Like you wouldn't just say the "Greek gods", that'd be addressing just the males like Zeus, Hades, and Poseidon. You wanna say "Greek gods and goddesses", or just say Greek pantheon :P Neither word is demeaning or lesser unless a person takes its meaning that way, which is on them, not the fault of the word. You can't just have two people of different gender in a room and refer to them as "the human and the human", that doesn't work. You need to clarify "the male and the female", "the lady and the gentleman", "the girl and the guy". This song is like that scenario. Bonnie Tyler's is about men, Reinxeed's is about women. Therefore, Reinxeed should have changed gods to goddesses(albeit yes I know it would sound a tad bit funky for the pace of the song, and that's likely why they left it alone ultimately). Wonder Woman is my favorite hero of all. Do I use hero to refer to her 95% of the time? Yes, but that's because it'd be redundant for me to use "heroine" in those contexts, or not descriptive enough for my meaning. If I'm saying "she's a hero of the finest caliber", I wouldn't wanna say "she's a heroine of the finest caliber". The latter would sound redundant as "she" is already saying that I'm referring to a female hero. When i go and say "she's my favorite hero of all time", I wouldn't just say "she's my favorite heroine of all time". While still true, the latter isn't expressing my full meaning since she's also my favorite over any and all of the male heroes too. Same goes for my favorite divine being, the goddess Aphrodite. You could refer to her as god, but eeeeeehhh that just sounds weird. Only do so when referring to a group/all of a set of divinities I would say. But singularly, use goddess. She's not the "ancient Greek 'god' associated with love, beauty, pleasure, passion and procreation." She's the "ancient Greek 'goddess' associated with love, beauty, pleasure, passion and procreation." If you don't clarify, it is easy to mistake and misinterpret who is being referrenced. Like in a movie. If you wanted to refer to the female cast or one inparticular, saying "the actresses did such an amazing job" or "this actress was phenomenal in that scene at [enter time-stamp]". Especially when there are male actors in the mix. A male and female in the scene, but you don't happen to know/recall their names, then actor and actress are your descriptive words to use. They are simply words that exist purely to help more easily clarify who someone is referring to. Nothing wrong or incorrect about using them at all. There is more good that comes from the existence of the words than there is bad.
Oh my god theres actually no lyrics fecking ANYWHERE for this, i wanted to listen to it so damn bad but it feels like a waste since i cant make out half the lyric changes
Jesus. Such fragile sexuality indeed, why you changed from "good men" to "good girls" all the other male covers left it as it is, this is only cover that changed it which is why if you listen to the lyrics it doesn't make any sense since the song's meaning itself applied to men and heroes.
This is my favorite version of this song. I had a dark time in my life and my wife was strong enough for the both of us. This song reminds me of her.
I love the tone this cover inspires. It takes a song about waiting for a great *partner* and gives it the feel of Holding the Line for a Hero to come and save your ass.
Regardless of It being man saving a woman, or a woman saving a man, this is awesome.

I'd disagree slightly with "nothing beats the original" since I'd say the Jennifer Saunders cover is unironically the best version, but I get you.
Kind of dig how this is a cover of the version from Shrek 2; makes it different from all the other covers :p
Very cool cover with the amazing voice of Tommy Johansson
EPIC!!! 🤟
I need to rewatch Short Circuit 2 now.
yes!
Is this song actually in there? Never seen the 2nd 1 only the first one.

Now I know what to dedicate to my girlfriend, no lies. Thanks man, you ROCK!👊😎

Now someone needs to make a music video of Lagertha from Vikings to this.

You'd have to speed most of her action up to match the pace of this, the offset would be glaring
Daneary’s tarygaryen riding drogon would be epic for this 🤣

I want a Wonder Woman movie with this theme.
Russ Taylor I agree, would make a pretty wonderrus yet AWESOME Wonder Woman mv for the 2017 stand alone Wonder Woman movie.

and 0,75 is like listening that on a crappy chinese walkman with low batteries on a built in speaker. But both are pure wild nonsense
Indeed, if only the playback wasn't so choppy...

Reinxeed and Pellek cover a few songs together. Reinxeed is probably the best power metal vocalist alive right now.
